College is really good in terms of Teaching, faculties,Library and labs. Not much focus is given in co-curriculum,though we have many active student clubs, maintaining attendence above 75% is mandatory.College has a hostel in the campus which includes laundry mess and staying facilities. In terms of are college is not so big but its well maintained.

This is best place to pursue education with full concentration, faculties are very helpful regarding any subjects doubts ,they encourage every students for participating competitive coding ,hackathon and other technical events ,our college organises many events for their sutudents such as workshops for better understanding of different company working environment. every 20 students have separate mentor alloted for four years department wise for easy care and proper guidance of student. We have very good library to study ,with awesome collections of books & ebooks Different workshops are conducted to enhance corporate exposure to students and we also used have industrial visits. Mentors and faculty keep track of every students so that they may not be left back, extra classes and tutorials are also conducted for those students who are lagging behind in any subjects or feeling hard to understand the concepts. Hostel discipline is really very strict(positively) no mercy for ragging on juniors and using narcotics , alcohols etc. we also have direct regular meetings with principle and vice principle to solve the students problems as soon as possible. Thanks......

As per my opinion I would prefer CMRIT for any reason but few of them are firstly the college aims at your over all development. There are many clubs where u can join and enhance your skills it may be technical or any cultural. The college infrastructure is quite impressive. This college will not only develop for your present but also amin in providing the best path for your future and expose you to all the stream where you can go.It has a good placement system well planned in advance for students from 1st year to final year which help students to crack the placement exams easily. You can find people many many cities coming and learning with you so you will have a wide exposure to your tradition and culture.

I've been part of cmrit family from past year and a half. It's a good experience to be learning under guidance of staff who are practically sound. There's a good exposure to companies and startups around the campus and is an advantage of the college locality. I'm not into sports hence I don't know much. The support for extra curricular activities is also good. We have applied for raising a NCC UNIT in the college. It's a great opportunity to be trained as a soldier. It's a fun filled time in the college till now and am looking forward. Cheers.

It is one among the best colleges in Bangalore and I am extremely happy to be a part of this college which supports, encourages and enlightens the dreams of each and every student. The faculties here are very determined and helpful in educating the students . The college not only imparts quality education but also encourages to take part in different activities including sports and culturals. The placement department is very supportive and conducts ample amount of pre-placement training. The college will provide 100% placements if you keep up your grades above the threshold.

A Good Experience

Initially when I joined CMRIT I was unsure whether it was the best choice for me, but over time I grew to like it. Located in Whitefield, it does not have a very big campus, but it has a lot of facilities. The buildings and infrastructure are good (especially the auditorium). Teaching is good but not great. There are some excellent, hard working and dedicated teachers and some average teachers. Placements are good, better than what I had expected and better than most other colleges. There are more placement opportunities for CSE, ISE and ECE branches. In the 7th semester itself over 30 companies came for these branches, each offering around 3LPA+ CTC. CMRIT regularly conducts placement training to help students for aptitude, technical and interview rounds in placements. Notable companies that come for placements include Deloitte, VMware, Texas Instruments. In my 4 years in college I found that CMRIT always tried to improve in all areas and try to better than it already was. It is striving towards becoming a premier institute and a great improvement in facilities and placements is visible.

A college where learning is fun!

Batch of 2019 | BE Electrical and Electronics Engineering
CMRIT is one of the good colleges in Bangalore, with good faculty who are willing to help at all times. The college has good infrastructure and a decent canteen. The clubs and cultural associations are not very active, but good enough for a professional degree college. The fests are decent enough. However, the main attraction is the placement. CMRIT has a great placement cell with almost 30 companies coming in the 7th semester. Being in EEE, the best memories that I have is the industrial visit to hydroelectric power plant and nuclear power plant in Kaiga! Since I'm not an hostelite, I wouldn't be able to help on that aspect. But being in the centre of an IT hub, transportation is very simple Overall, CMRIT is a good college with amazing placements and a place where you could have loads of fun.

The extra curricular activities in CMRIT are extensive and prudent. Most of the activities in the college are initiated and carried out by the students of CMRIT.I am the secretary for a Electronics Club called ETA Club in CMRIT.The members of this club take considerations from the students very seriously. We make sure that students get the extra education that they need for exceeding in their respective fields of interest , by conducting workshops and seminars on these specific topics that aren't taught extensively in the curriculum. For example , we have conducted ARM , PCB , Arduino , Pspice and MATLAB workshops through out the academic year. These events are either taught by trained professionals outside the college or the faculty of the department after college hours. We also consider the students wishing to pursue a future in other fields of engineering , some of these events conducted by the collaboration of a few department together , for example we have conducted machine learning seminars and python and web designing workshops . We also bring in people from the corporate world and explain how things work in a company and what opportunities people have in the corporate world. Sometimes we are enlightened to have well renowned professors around the country to come to our college are give us an insight of their erudite knowledge. We also sometimes step out of being full academic and encourage the students to participate in activities and competitions which brings joy and adrenaline to the participants. In conclusion , I would like to say that we have a great extra curricular activities that make sure we reach all the students interests with a vast variety of events being conducted at CMRIT.

Don't select CMRIT even if it is free

Wasted 4 years of my life in this college. 1:-The worst part of this college is it's faculty, they like to bully students. They don't teach students, they just want you to be busy and keep doing menial tasks they call assignments. When I was studying the min. attendance was 70% and if you get even 69%, you have to go to that particular subject faculty and beg for attendance or pay fine. 2:-The Infrastructure is also not that good. There is a small ground but a very long parking lot. The library is not well stocked with popular books used by students. 3:-And the hostel is the worst. The food repeats every week, after few weeks you get irritated by the food choices and the same taste. The entry time for boys hostel was 8-30 at my time which is ridiculous. The wifi that they provide is very slow. The college canteen is also not good. 4:-The placements was ok for EC as TCS had visited but for other dept.s it wasn't good. And it only gets Mass recruitment and no core companies come for recritment So all in all please don't select CMRIT especially E&C Dept.

Horrific Experience with CMRIT. No One Should Join

This review is based on my own experience of studying at CMR IT college. 1- Which college in the world starts at 8 AM?- It does. 2- Doors are closed even if you are 5 minutes late. 3- Horrible teachers. They have ZERO knowledge and BIG egos. 4- Very little placement. 5- Strict dress code. 6- Strict attendance. You are fined heavily for short attendance. 7- Stupid monitoring of the students in college. 8- They treat students like slaves. 9- Classes start at 8 AM and go on till 4 PM. 10- Teachers shout at students for small things. 11- If you are looking to study in a college then avoid it any cost because it is not a college - it is an extension of school. It is just like school not more than that. 12- Partiality in giving internal marks, you need to do a lot of buttering. 13- Decision to study in this college was my life's biggest mistake. 14- It will make life miserable, you can't study - you can't enjoy. 15- Heavy assignment loads - you won't have any time for yourself. So, the moral of the story is - DO NOT ever even think to join this college. Join at your own risk! :)

CMRIT-CHIKKA MUNNIYAPPA REDDY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY. Trust me, you'll be needing this information if you are planning to join this college. Okay, i'd start by saying that its a pretty decent college, not like the IIT's and NIT's everyone dreams about. But yeah, better than most of the colleges located in India. This institution is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU). Every college has a positive and a negative side. We will start considering the positive aspects first. PROS: -ACADEMICS: Well, the teachers, they teach really well, and yeah, they do complete the course on time, plus they are available for you all the time. If you concentrate enough in the class, and take proper notes, beleive me, you will never be buying books in your engineering life.;) Each teacher has a personal website, where they uplaod proper notes and assignments for the students to access. So, all you need to have is a working internet plan. -SPORTS: Well, we have a basketball team, a cricket team, a football team and a volleyball team. So, if you are good at any one of those, you can easily get into the team. Obviously, they will test you first. They even conduct intercollege events for sports and all. So, you will eventually get to visit different colleges. -STUDENT CLUBS: we have music club, art club, dance club, literary club, photography club, tech club, theatre club, media club and these people are really dedicated to their work....like really. The crowd is a decent mixture of north and south indians here at this college and gender safety is also very good. Summing up in short, if you want to have fun and education this is THE PLACE to spend your engineering. :)

The class timings in my college are really great, it starts at 8 in the morning and ends at 4 in the evening. We have 2 internals and one improvement test. The students are suggested to do projects and we have a lot of facilities like the maker space that conduct activities, seminars, and workshops! More than that we have a student organization in every department to take care of the activities conducted for the students. The method of teaching involves an interactive method, the quality of teaching is really good, we have a rigorous hiring policy and only the best are selected. The experience has been a mixed one, while the teaching is exceptional, the extracurricular activities are a bit limited and are a lot held back by the affiliated university with its old-fashioned rules!

CMRIT, once good, NOW a SINKING SHIP. It is on the verge of collapse. 8- gate closed, students are beaten, they force shortage of attendance to take money during examination, result less than 60%, no M.Tech admission, seats vacant, no faculty joining, research activity big zero... very shameful... Be careful while opting for CMRIT.

I am currently studying in CMRIT IS branch. I have serious to all the students who are going to join in 2017. DO NOT JOIN THIS COLLEGE. I am very serious regarding this issue. It's rules are worse than that of jail's. If you are a very studious person and your passion is engineering (seriously) then go ahead you are on the right track. And for those like me who only come for a degree don't join this college at any cost. It's the biggest mistake of my life I ever committed. Worst college ...

Being an alumnus of CMRIT, I would like to give it an 8/10. The teachers are young and may be poor at teaching, but lets face the facts, even a PhD holder cant get us students to listen in class ;) The college management is strict, but after 4 years of passing out, I can just smile about it (no hard feelings what so ever) The placements are above average in comparison to other colleges and the crowd is trendy ;) A good place to go to college I must say

This is a good college overall. Although there have been a lot of ups and downs in the recent past, its at least better than most of the colleges nearby. Points to note: 1. The college doesn't have a huge campus. So if that is the first thing that you look for, then this might not be the place for you. 2. This place is considerably a lot peaceful in terms of "fights". I spent 5-years here and there was never any big "fight" compared to other colleges , where they are on a weekly, if not daily basis. (I don't mean to offend any Horizonites, I'm one too!) 3. The college starts at 8:00 am and goes on up to 2-4:00 pm.

The grand entrance to the college greets you to one of the biggest campuses amongst engineering colleges in Bangalore. Right behind the parking lot, some guys are seen busy netting the ball in the basketball court. On the other side is a splendid football pitch/cricket ground and behind that the academic blocks. Parts of the campus are still under-construction and students say that they face certain issues with their lab equipments and some other academic needs, although sports and recreation are well taken care of. “Hostels are perhaps the worst that any college can ever have” comments a frustrated resident of the girls’ hostel, “They’re in a pathetic condition” she continues. Boys’ hostels are said to be no better; problems faced are similar in both the hostels: shortage of water, bad food and exorbitant fees (as high as Rs. 75,000/- per year) Fees: For Karnataka CET students: Rs. 36,090/- per year For UGET (COMEDK) students: Rs. 1.4L per year Faculty: Students claim that most of their lecturers are previous year passouts from CMRIT itself! They have at the most 1-2 years of teaching experience and thus the students aren't satisfied with the teaching. Attendance & Discipline: CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) wants every student to attend more than 85% of the academic sessions in each semester. Defaulters are punished even at a mere 1% shortage in attendance. Fines ranging from Rs. 500-10,000/- are charged proportionate to the lack in attendance. Apart from strict attendance, certain disciplinary rules also need to be adhered to, and that includes dress codes, ban on interaction between girls and boys, no mobile phones, no round neck tshirts, no sleeveless dresses for girls and I-cards to be worn all the time. Crowd: The girls to boys ratio is 2:3 which is a refreshing change for any engineering college. In terms of geographical diversity, about 70% of the students are from North India, which again is slightly extraordinary in Bangalore. Canteen: CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) has recently built a new food court which is quite good although it is rather expensive. That probably explains why there's always more than enough place to sit.

CMR IT doesnt has the biggest of campuses but it is quite good nevertheless. It has a maker-space of its own which is a big thing, there is a Dhwani(Auditorium) as we call it here. The college takes the academics of the students very seriously and helps the students in doing projects and going for competition. The best part about the college are the people here, they are very friendly.Placement in the college is decent enough. The hostels are also okay but quite enough for hostilities to have a lot of fun. FIFA nights makes hostels heaven. The students here come from very different background but mix well together. The college is quite affordable

The infrastructure is not that huge but has all the things required. The college gives industry exposure to its students and thus this makes it different from the other colleges.Almost all people with more than decent marks are placed as skills are taken care by the college. The hostel is decent not too good but not bad either. We have some very good professors who help students in talking up projects and thus helping them get more experience. The crowd is also decent with people coming from different places and thus college life becomes enjoyable. The fees are less for people from the state of Karnataka while a little high for people coming from other states.Overall a good package.
