Campus life at CMR Institute of Technology is decent and balanced, with regular fests, active tech clubs, and a good peer group, though limited campus size and fewer extracurricular options can restrict overall vibrancy.
Overall, CMR Institute of Technology is a good choice for students focused on academics and placements, especially in CSE/IT, but may feel limited if you want a large campus or vibrant college life.

CMRIT offers a reasonably good value for money, especially for students in branches like CSE and AIML. The college provides decent infrastructure, a supportive academic environment, and opportunities for technical and personal growth through workshops, hackathons, and extracurricular activities. The placement opportunities are fair, with several reputed companies visiting the campus. However, the return on investment largely depends on the student’s efforts in building skills, working on projects, and preparing for placements. While the fees may feel slightly on the higher side compared to some colleges, the exposure, campus facilities, and learning opportunities make it worthwhile for students who actively utilize them. Overall, CMRIT can be considered a good value-for-money option for self-driven students who are willing to take initiative and make the most out of the resources provided.

The infrastructure for management students is integrated within the main campus, featuring smart classrooms and dedicated Analytics Skill Labs. While the campus is compact, MBA students benefit from the "Makerspace" for entrepreneurial projects and a central library with a vast collection of management journals and digital resources. The AV-equipped seminar halls are frequently used for guest lectures and corporate interactions. However, since the campus is shared with a large engineering population, some facilities like the canteen and common areas can feel quite crowded during peak hours.
The MBA program at CMRIT is affiliated with VTU and holds an NAAC A++ rating, ensuring a high standard of formal education. The curriculum is notable for its dual specialization options, allowing you to combine fields like Business Analytics with Finance, HR, or Marketing. Academics here go beyond textbooks through the "Tie Your Laces" (TYL) initiative, which is specifically adapted for MBA students to include certifications in Tableau, Tally, and advanced Excel. The pedagogy relies heavily on case studies, flipped classrooms, and mandatory mini-projects each semester, which helps in bridge the gap between theory and corporate reality.
Placements for MBA students are quite proactive, with the college reporting a strong track record for the 2025–2026 cycle. While the highest packages (often cited around ₹44 LPA) usually go to engineering students in tech roles, MBA graduates see a healthy range of opportunities in banking, FMCG, and ed-tech. The average package for MBA specifically tends to hover between ₹5 LPA to ₹7 LPA. Top recruiters include companies like Deloitte, EY, London Stock Exchange, and various startups in the Bangalore region. The placement cell focuses heavily on "employability training," including mock Group Discussions (GDs) and personal interviews.
CMRIT offers high value for money, especially for students entering through the PGCET (Government Quota), where fees are significantly lower. For management quota students, the total fee for the two-year program is approximately ₹3.5 Lakhs to ₹5 Lakhs, which is relatively competitive compared to other private B-schools in Bangalore
Campus life at CMRIT is vibrant but disciplined. The college hosts an annual fest, "Cura," and various technical events like hackathons and "Maker Faire." There are numerous active clubs ranging from coding and robotics to dance and photography. However, the small campus size means there are fewer "hangout" spots on campus compared to larger universities. The surrounding area of Whitefield compensates for this, offering plenty of cafes and malls. Hostel life is decent, though reviews on mess food remain mixed, as is common with most residential facilities.
Overall, CMRIT is an excellent choice for students whose primary goal is career readiness and placement. It may not offer the sprawling, picturesque campus of a luxury university, but it excels in what matters most: academic discipline, industry connections, and a proven track record of getting students into reputable companies. It is a pragmatic choice for serious learners who want to be in the middle of Bangalore's tech ecosystem

Campus life at CMR Institute of Technology is active and enjoyable. The college organizes cultural fests, technical events, and club activities that help students explore their interests and develop new skills. The campus environment is friendly and safe, and students get many opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities and interact with peers.
The infrastructure at CMR Institute of Technology is serviceable but not the main attraction of the college. Classrooms are equipped with projectors and smart broads, but some of them feel a little outdated compared to the newer campuses. Labs are functional and provide with the necessary equipment for practical sessions, though occasionally systems can be slow or require maintenance. The library is a strong resource, with a good collection of books and journal, but it tends to get crowded during exam season, making it harder to find seating. Hostel facilities are decent, with somewhat clean rooms and basic amenities, though the food is average and WIFI can be sometimes patchy. Sports facilities exists and are maintained, but they are not the highlight of the campus. There has been a recent inauguration of the new makerspace lab and the additional lounge area. They look well planned and modern. Hope that all students can use that center for their activities. Students have quickly realised that the real strength of the college lies in academics and faculty support, which makes the infrastructure shortcomings ess significant. The environment is safe and accessible, and most students adapt well to the facilities provided. In short, the infrastructure is functional, but it's the academics experience that truly defines the college.
Academics are the strongest pillar of CMR Institute of Technology, especially in the Computer Science and Engineering program. The curriculum is regularly updated to reflect industry trends, ensuring that students are exposed to modern technologies and practices. Faculty members are approachable and genuinely invested in student success. Many professors go beyond the syllabus to explain the concept and death, encourage coding practice, and guide students through projects. Barely few rely heavily on slides. The majority focus on interactive teaching, which makes classes engaging. Coding labs and assignments provide hands on exposure, and students are encouraged to participate in hackathons, coding competitions and research products. The. emphasis on practical learning ensures that students graduate with job ready skills. Beyond academics, faculty members also mentor students in career planning, internships, and certifications. This supported environment makes academics the highlight. After college experience, even though infrastructure may not be the best, the quality of teaching and the dedication of faculty more than compensates. Students who are serious about learning find that academic culture here pushes them to grow, innovate, and prepare for the future. This is the main reason why many choose CMRIT despite average infrastructure.

The placement cell is supportive and organisers training session. More interviews and workshops to prepare students for recruitment drives. They also encourage students to take part in internships, which helps in building tactical experience before final placements. However, the competition is high. The students need to put in consistent effort beyond the curriculum to ensure the best opportunities many students pursue additional certification in the area of cloud computing, cyber security or data science to stand out. Overall, placements are reliable, and students are proactive in their learning journey tend to secure good offers. The academic quality and placement support ensure the students are well prepared for career in technology and placement process is transparent. The guidance provided by faculty and the placements have makes a big difference in student outcome.
The fees at Cmr Institute of Technology are higher compared to government colleges. But they are reasonable. When compared to the private institutes in Bangalore, considering the quality of academic faculty support and placement opportunities, many students feel the investment is worthwhile. The infrastructure may not be the modern but strong academic environment ensures the students get value for their money. Additionally, the college provides opportunities for extracurricular activities. Hackathons and industry exposure which add to the overall experience. Students often spend extra on certification online courses to stay competitive. But the foundation provided by the college makes those invested investments more effective. The return on the investment is visible in the placement outcomes, where students secure jobs in reputed companies with decent packages. For those who are serious and career growth, the fees being justified. While some may wish for better infrastructure at the same cost, more students agree the academic quality and the faculty membership make the college of good value for money choice. Ultimately, the real worth of the call relies in the learning career and opportunity it provides, which outweighs the limitations in infrastructure.

For me, the best part of CMR Institute of technology has been the academics. The faculty are approachable and really push us to learn beyond the syllabus, especially in coding and projects, even though the infrastructure isn't great. The teaching quality and opportunities to grow make up for it. I have gained confidence in my skills here, and that's what matters the most.

well-regarded for engineering disciplines, with qualified and helpful faculty who balance theory and practical learning and a relevant curriculum tied to industry needs. Student reviews suggest those with strong performance and project skills tend to attract better offers in analytics or tech roles.
offers reasonable ROI considering campus facilities, faculty support, and placement prospects, especially if getting placed at good average packages. However, some students (especially on forums) feel that high hostel fees and moderate placement outcomes (especially for non-CSE branches) can make ROI less impressive unless you secure strong offers.
active and engaging, with a mix of cultural, technical and sports activities that keep students involved beyond academics. There are clubs, workshops, fests (like Cultura), and competitions throughout the year, helping students explore interests and build skills. Hostels offer comfortable rooms, Wi-Fi, security, mess and indoor games, while sports facilities include basketball, football, volleyball, cricket, hockey and gyms for physical fitness. Students enjoy a lively, friendly environment, though some find the campus compact and social interaction varies by crowd.
