Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of Technology and Management, Kolkata Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Located in Kolkata, West Bengal, DAITM  and is affiliated with various universities. The institute offers a panoply of both under- and postgraduate courses over multiple disciplines. The admission process at DAITM is designed to select students for various six courses of full-time study. Most often, DAITM regulates its admission circle a little before the start of the incoming academic year, which usually starts within the months of August and September. To initiate the admission process to DAITM, the institute mainly considers the academic record of candidates in the relevant subjects. Thus, the basic eligibility for undergraduate programs is successful completion of 10+2 from a recognized board. While for postgraduate programs, the candidate should have obtained the bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.

Application Process

The admission process of Dinabandhu Andrews Institute of Technology and Management, Kolkata, is as follows:

1. Go to the official DAITM website  and get the online application form.

2. The application form is to be filled with correct personal and academic details. 

3. Documents scanned as needed are uploaded, including

• Recent passport-size photographs
• Marks of 10th and 12th
• Graduation mark sheets (for applicants seeking admission to postgraduate courses)
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Any more relevant certificates as demanded by the institute

4. Pay the application fee in the prescribed method.

5. Submit the duly completed application form with all relevant documents.

6. After submission, candidates can check their registered email from time to time, related to news concerning the admission process, and the study may be continued by going through the institute's website. 

7. Shortlisted candidates shall be required to appear for counseling or document verification at the institute.

8. Upon successful verification along with seat allocation, the candidates are required to pay the prescribed fees towards confirming their admission.

9. Report finally to the institute on the specified date for the commencement of classes.

Admission Process per Degree

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): There are 90 B.C.A seats in DAITM. Admission to the BCA program is determined by the student's performance in the 10+2 examination, in relevant subjects of Mathematics and Computer Science.

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): With a seat intake of 90 seats in both BBA (general) and BBA in Hospital Management, the two programs are offered at the institute. Admission for these programs will be based on the results of their 10+2 examination, with emphasis on subjects related to commerce and management.

M.Sc Computer Science: Admission to the 30-seat M.Sc in Computer Science provided at DAITM will be granted to candidates possessing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Selection is based upon performance in the undergraduate study.

M.Sc Applied Mathematics: This postgraduate program admits students on a cohort basis of 20 seats per intake. Candidates having a bachelor degree in Mathematics or relevant stream are admitted with reference to their performance during undergraduate studies.

B.Sc Medical Lab Technology: This specialized undergraduate program is currently placed at the DAITM with 30 seat intake capacity. Admission shall be based on the merit list prepared on the basis of it on 10+2 results, particularly of science subjects, especially Biology and Chemistry.
