Domkal Girls College, Murshidabad Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College hostel provides lodging and boarding for about 60 girls’ students. The hostel is located in an eco-friendly environment surrounded by trees and lawns.

The college Library is one of the vital and proactive organs of the college. It has a collection of nearly 3,000 books, and subscribes to a number of journals and daily newspapers. The library has grown over the years utilizing the financial assistance of the Bidhayak Elaka Unnayan Prakalpa (BEUP) fund, college's own fund, and personal contributions of the former and present staff besides making use of the resources of the college. The library offers its reading materials for the use of all its members, six days a week and six hours a day. The library staff is very keen to help and work actively to keep the fervor of learning alive. 

The college attaches great importance to enabling the students to improve their general fitness as it has a very positive influence on their studies as well as their performance in sports and games. Specific policies and strategies adopted about sports and games. Every year, the college organizes a Sports Day for students and staff to participate in competitions and win prizes. Eminent sportspersons/dignitaries are usually invited to distribute the prizes and serve as a source of inspiration. Sports activities and events are also organized throughout the year in the following three categories: • Outdoor sports for games such as Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, Self-defense, Volleyball, etc. • Indoor sports for games such as Chess, Carom Board, Table Tennis, and Badminton. • Track & Field - Long/short distance runs, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, Javelin Throw, and Discuss Throw

The college has become successful in establishing a Computer Laboratory. Eleven new computers are installed and interconnected through the Local Area Network. The laboratory is also connected by a High-speed internet facility. Students of the college for whom computer training has been made mandatory by the college can make use of this infrastructure for academic purposes.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College has a separate Medical Room with the provision of first aid made available to the students. The medical practitioner is attached to the College for any kind of medical problems of the student.
