Genesis Institute of Technology, Kolhapur Admission 2026: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Cutoff & Application Form

GIT Kolhapur is generally famous for engineering programs. The institute has the admission procedure for desirous candidates for said programs sanctioned by the AICTE New Delhi.

Usually, the admissions at GITs Kolhapur start on the last day of the event on the academic calendar, a couple of months before the classes commences. Candidates should complete the B.Tech qualification with 10+2 or equivalent Examination with compulsory Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students with a reasonable command of these subjects would cope well with the academic rigors of GIT Kolhapur's programs in engineering. Henceforth, admissions into GIT Kolhapur are strictly based on the scores obtained in the relevant entrance examination. The exams that form the basis of admission into B.Tech programs include MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) or JEE (Joint Entrance Examination).

Application Process

The conscious and fair application procedure for Genesis Institute of Technology, Kolhapur has given every deserving candidate an opportunity to get into programs of their choice. This is an overview of the whole procedure:

1. Entrance Examination: Candidates are to take the relevant entrance examination, MHT-CET/JEE, etc.

2. Application Form: Eligible candidates shall apply for GIT after the declaration of entrance examination results, procure the application form, and fill it up.

3. Document Submission: Together with the duly filled application form, the candidates have to submit the following set of documents in original and photocopy:

   • Mark sheets of 10th & 12th

   • Scorecard of entrance examination

   • Domicile certificate (if applicable)

   • Caste certificate (if applicable)

   • Recent passport-sized photographs

4. Application Fee: As prescribed by the institute.

Bachelor of Technology: GIT Kolhapur offers four full-time B.Tech programs. The four programs with total capacities are as follows:

1. Mechanical Engineering (120 seats)

2. Production Engineering (60 seats)

3. Civil Engineering (60 seats)

4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (60 seats)

The admissions are held on the basis of the entrance examination regarding which the candidates have performed and the marks scored in 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
