Government Polytechnic, Hisar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

All the labs are interconnected through wireless networking. There is a hardware lab in the institution to enable the students to be fully acquainted with computer systems printers, scanners, and UPS. Along with that, there is an advanced process control lab in Deptt. Of Instrumentation & Control equipped with virtual instrumentation, Simulation software including LAB VIEW, COMM SIM, MULTI SIM and latest programmable logic controllers to give industrial exposure to the Diploma students. There are Language Lab, Project Lab, Electrical Lab, Process Instrumentation Lab, Power Electronics Lab, Communication Lab, Analog Lab, Digital Lab, Micro Processing Lab, Testing Lab, Garment Lab, Printing Lab, Dying and Printing Lab, Weaving Lab, Knitting Lab, Physics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Handloom Lab, CAD Lab, Ind Garment Machine Lab, Fashion Source Room, Pattern Drafting Lab, Draping Lab, Biomedical Instrumentation lab,Anatomy & Physiology lab for imparting practical knowledge to the students.

The College has state – of – art 7 computer labs are equipped with 155 PIV, Core II Duo processor, and i5 processors all connected through structured cable networking based on the switches and internet connection through a 2 Mbps leased line.

The College Library is a modern library meant to fulfil the information needs of students, faculty and staff of various Departments of the Institute. One reading hall with a seating capacity of 40 has been provided with the Periodical Section where all the journals, newspapers, and magazines are displayed. The library has a rich collection of about 40000 volumes in the stream of Engineering & Technology, applied sciences, and Management. The library is also subscribing a good number of journals, 15 magazines, and 11 newspapers for its readers. The library provides Book Bank facility to the SC/ST and poor students of the Institute

The College has a canteen facility which is very neat and clean. Every type of food like snacks, soft drinks, tea, coffee, meal and various type of eatables. There is a common canteen for boys and girls.

The Institute has one boy's hostel named Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra Boys Hostel equipped with modern furniture and fixture with a capacity of 180 students. The hostel is provided with Colour Television, Caram Board, Table Tennis, News Paper with stand etc. for recreation of the students within the hostel premises. Besides, residents of the hostel have been provided with gym facilities with Jogger, Abdominal and Cycle exercise, Weight lifting, etc. The students are provided hot water in winter and there is a facility of water cooler for the students. The hostel has a common room where 5 newspapers are available to the students. The residents are also provided such facilities as the canteen, first-aid, photocopying facilities, etc. The warden is sensitive to the students’ concerns and is always ready for their help.

The Institute has one Girls hostel named Mamta Memorial Girls Hostel equipped with modern furniture and fixture with a capacity of 135 students. The hostel is provided with Color Television, Ca-ram Board, News Paper stand, etc. for recreation of the students within the hostel premises. Besides, residents of the hostel have been provided with gym facilities with Jogger, Abdominal and Cycle exercise, Weight lifting, etc. The students are provided hot water in winter and there is a facility of water cooler for the students. The Institute has one Guesthouse with a lush green campus and modern facilities.

The institute has the health center/ First Aid center in the administrative Block since April 2012 for the students and staff of the institute.

The Institute has the common Gym with well-equipped machines for boys and Girls near the Teaching Block-C.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.
