Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

The infrastructure of Guru Tegh Bahadur 4th Centenary Engineering College is average and still developing because the college is relatively new for B.Tech courses. The classrooms are decent and equipped with basic facilities like projectors and air conditioners, although maintenance can sometimes be improved. Labs are functional and useful for practical subjects, especially in IT and CSE, but some systems and equipment need upgrades. The library and reading hall are good for self-study and academic preparation. The campus is comparatively small, so students may not get the large-campus experience like bigger engineering colleges.
