Bachelor of Arts (B.A) Honours in English is a three-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by Hansraj College, Delhi and affiliated to University of Delhi, Delhi.

A wide gamut of literature is today available in English, some created in it, others translated into it. It is this wide spectrum of literature in English that the course aims to introduce. This is an intensive course and should serve as an excellent initiation for students who want to base their careers on an in-depth study of literature. Possible avenues beckoning graduates are mass communication, civil services, creative writing, teaching, etc. The faculty here is a mix of young and experienced authors, scholars, critics and theatre activists.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University of Delhi shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. The applicants seeking admission to the undergraduate courses offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses in subsequent sections.

An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure, facilities and equipments are all great but could be better. Hygiene in washrooms could be improved. Its fully air-conditioned which is definitely a rarity in DU colleges. Overall, its good enough.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is great overall but the infrastructure for some department's classes, like English and History was pretty average as the classes for these departments were mostly held in the old building which dosen't have ACs like the rest of the buildings in the college, the stepmotherly treatment by the principal for these departments especilly English department played a part. Washrooms could improve too.

A great college for academics, pretty average for fests.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is nice and well structured compare to other colleges of DU. The classes are well furnished and has Air conditioning. Some classes even have centralised AC. The college is pretty aesthetic as our lawns are well maintained and groomed.
