The Department of History is one of the principal humanities departments of the College. The Honours programme has a balanced course content covering the evolution of human civilization from time immemorial to recent times. A comparative analysis of historical developments in India and the world is provided to students during the three years of study. The course prepares students to pursue careers in academics, research, civil services, journalism, mass communication, law, archaeology, museum studies, and tourism. Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University of Delhi shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. The applicants seeking admission to the undergraduate courses offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses in subsequent sections.
An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

College Infrastructure
Building of the college is in good condition . College has peaceful environment in the library and major books are available in the library primises . Sports facilities are very good here . Laboratories has latest equipments.

College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is really good. From library to labs, sports centre ,hostel and mess food also all are fine . We all are happy with the facilities that college provides us . They are all well maintained.
