A Bachelor of Design (B.DES) in Animation & VFX, Game Design is a 4-Year U.G.degree that trains students to create and implement creative, interactive, and visual experiences for the Animation, VFX, and gaming industries as well as other visual storytellers.

The program prepares students well beyond an ability to use software.The program focuses on developing strong design-thinking skills as well as fostering an environment conducive to creativity and user-centred design. Students learn to think of Animation, VFX, and game design/creation as creative design problems. They are trained in the use of idea generation methods, audience (user) comprehension techniques, and visual storytelling methods. The curriculum encourages students to research, explore, and experiment with everything from concept development and narrative development to visual design and interaction design to turn ideas into compelling, interactive digital experiences.

By putting equal attention towards art and creating aesthetically pleasing storytelling as well as structuring production, students will have a balanced path of professional development.Studio-based teaching and learning will happen via structured project-based assignments along with collaborative design exercises with others and long-term studio work simulating actual workplaces of creativity.
