Master of Journalism & Mass Communication (MJMC) is a two-year postgraduate course affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut. The Journalism curriculum at the postgraduate level has changed drastically to include numerous aspects of the modern-day avatar of journalism. Topics covered have grown from print-based topics to print and electronic media-based topics. Broadcast journalism is as much a part of the curriculum as feature or report writing. Since the course is a career-oriented one, we at IMS stress on giving practical experience of the field to our students. For this, students are not only given reporting & editing assignments to cover the main events of NCR, they are already bringing out their lab. Journal. At the same time, guest speakers from big media organizations are invited to share their experiences with the students.
Admission Process
- The form provided by CCS University has to be filled and submitted to the Institute. The Institute will shortlist candidates and produce a merit list on the basis of the performance at 10+2+3 level & in a personal interview.
- Candidates interested in MJMC Program are requested to register their names for Joint Entrance Test (J.E.T) to be conducted by IMS NOIDA in their premises. The test is based on general awareness, basic mathematics, reasoning questionnaire, and communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking admission to the MJMC Programme must have passed 10+2+3 (or its equivalent) examination from a recognized Board/ University. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination or those who are awaiting their result are also eligible to apply. Their candidature, however, shall be considered, subject to their clearing the qualifying examination.
