    Eligibility Criteria

    Every student, selected for admission to a postgraduate degree shall possess MBBS degree or equivalent qualifications as specified by the National Medical Commission. Students for postgraduate courses are strictly selected on the basis of their merit, as determined by a competent test conducted by the West Bengal University of  Health Sciences (WBUHS).

    Admission Details

    Admission of students to the broad postgraduate specialties in modern medicine (MD, MS) in the current academic session would be through the nationwide  National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate Admission (NEET-PG). Of the total seats, 50% will be filled up through All-India quota while the rest 50% would come through West Bengal state quota. The state government may reserve a proportion of the seats in its quota for candidates who are in government service or a minimum stipulated number (usually 3) of years.
