Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering offers admission to various undergraduate (BE/B.Tech) and postgraduate (ME, M.Tech, MCA) courses. Admission to undergraduate courses is done through JEE Main/GUJCET exam while admission to postgraduate courses is done on the basis of marks scored in GATE/PGCET exam.

For Postgraduate Courses (ME/M.Tech/MCA):

• Candidates have to qualify for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Exam/ Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).
• The candidates have to fill an online application form on the website of LDCE.
• Final admission will be done on the basis of performance in the GATE/PGCET Exam.
• Final admission will be offered on the basis of marks scored in the entrance examination, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.

Last year means (2020) previous years cutoff rank for LDCE Ahmedabad Gujarat CE branch was 540.

In your marks ACPC rank is not matched with it.

Admission Process is totally depends on your Merit Rank so there is no particular marks for GUJCET & Boards .if you are belong to open catagory

and Want to get admission in computer Engineering branch approx.

for LDCE merit rank is < 900

for Nirma University Merit rank is <600

for PDPU merit rank is <1500

You should go with IIIT, Vadodara since it is institute of national importance while LDCE is a reputed govt. college of Gujarat but not much famous outside gujarat.

Now for placement you won't get big MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, flipkart etc. for on campus placement at LDCE. Most of local computer/IT firms + many mass recruiters like TCS, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS + Some big companies like HSBC visit LDCE regularly. While at IIIT, Vadodara you will get companies like Amazon, flipkart etc for on-campus recruitment.

So, overall if anyone not getting DAIICT, NIRMA-CSE, SVNIT-CSE, IIIT-VADODARA then LDCE will be definitely a good choice but since you are getting IIIT-V, you should go for it.

Choice filling by the aspirants is the only criterion decides the ranking of each branch. There was the time when EC was the choice among the rankers. Right now IT and computer branches are getting highest ranking than any of ther branches. And before few decades plastic and chemical was the first choice of rankers. Contemporary market's demand will affect the choice which in turns affect the ranking.

As I myself belong to Gujarat, I must suggest you to put MS University as your first preference in ACPC. The reason behind it is that MSU is one of the finest colleges in Gujarat and the teaching is also comendable. It has one of the best and largest infrastructure. It is hard for D2D students to get admission, that is why, you must put other preferences.

In your case, you have a second preference as LDCE.

Try to add one or two more colleges in you preference list for your own security.

Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering is a government Engineering college affiliated to Gujarat Technological  University. Being a reputed Engineering college of the state, the Infrastructure provided are pretty good. But according to the students of the college, there isn't any emerging Technology at all. The classes are taken on a regular basis and yes, practical classes are done properly. At LDCE hostel, students are accommodated in a twin / triple sharing rooms. Students are helped to adjust with fellow students and to the individuality that all students bring with them.

Facilities:

• Each hostel room is provided with beds, tables, chairs & cupboards. Other facilities shall be provided as and when government deems fit.
• There are four mess in the hostel campus, which are managed by students themselves. Hostel authority ensures quality of food being served in the mess.
• Many newspapers and magazines are subscribed by the hostel.
• The hostel has one common room where students can watch TV.
• Students can enjoy outdoor and indoor games in the college campus.

To apply for hostels, admissions are given to students who are residing at least 30 kms away from the hostel based on ACPC merit.

Moreover,

the student must bring Mark Sheet, Photo & other necessary details when they come for admission.
