Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology is full time four year course degree offered by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi and approved by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria

For B. Tech.

Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.

Lateral Entry to B. Tech.

Three-years diploma (completed) in any of the following branches of Engg./Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate* from any recognized Diploma awarding institute/university/board recognized by AICTE:- Computer Engg; Automobile Engg; Chemical Engg, Civil Engg, Construction Engg, Electrical Engg, Electronics & Communication Engg, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechanical Engg., Maintenance Engg., Plastic Engg., Printing & Publishing, Production Engg., Public Health & Environmental Engg., Tool & Die Making.

Admission Details

B. Tech.

All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Paper 1 Conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of JEE Main Paper 1 for its admissions. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the JEE.

Lateral Entry B. Tech

Applicants must appear in the CET conducted. The admissions would be based on the merit / rank in the CET.

College Infrastructure

All classrooms are modern and some are smart-enabled for better teaching. Each branch has well-equipped labs where students get hands-on experience. The library is a favorite spot for many, as it is stocked with a variety of books and offers online access as well. Wi-Fi is available, and the canteen inside the campus offers affordable meals.

College Infrastructure

College has everything students need for studies and activities. Classrooms are clean, airy, and have projectors for easy teaching. Each department has its own labs with updated systems and equipment, especially for computer and electronics branches. The library is a good place for study, with plenty of books, journals, and online resources. The college also provides Wi-Fi, sports facilities, and a decent hostel for both boys and girls.

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is very good. Wi-Fi connectivity is okay, and the labs are fully equipped, functional, and air-conditioned. The LAN connection is also good. The mess food is decent, and the canteen food is pretty good at very reasonable prices.
