Mohamed Sathak College of Arts and Science, Chennai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College has hostel facilities provided by the management for boys. The boys' hostel is located within the campus itself. The capacity of the hostel is 450. Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food will be served. Shuttle badminton courts are located inside the hostel. A separate gym is provided for the benefit of the students.

The college has a hostel for girls located outside the college in Sholinganallur, separately with all facilities. Free Transport arrangement is provided for pick up and drop off from the hostel to the college. A library with religious and other important books is available for the benefit of the inmates. Medical care during emergencies is also provided for all inmates. The generator facility is also available to meet the power cuts and shutdowns.

The College auditorium, with a capacity of 600 persons, is located near the entrance of the main building of the college. The facilities, such as LCD Projector for presentations, elaborate Audio arrangements, are provided for the conduct of functions such as Seminars and Symposia efficiently.

The College's central library has a collection of more than 25,000 books, 71 journals, and 181 e-journals. The College Central Library was established in 1991. This year, the Manual Work- Books, Journals, and Reference Books have been fully computerized. The Bar Code Reader was introduced, so that the students and staff can access the collection and service using Library Management Software, Mastersoft ERP version 2.0.1, an open access ILMS with comprehensive functionality, including basic and advanced search options, which has made lending and referring the books easy. There is a regular subscription to reading newspapers, magazines, and Journals. MasterSoft library management system users can access the OPAC for remote access to borrow books. 

The college has sports facilities for all students. Sports activities are given utmost importance as it makes the student physically strong and increase stamina and strength. Necessary sports and games facilities have been created for the students to strengthen physical education. Since sports and games play an integral part in molding and refining the character of an individual. Studies have shown that exercise and sport activities increase the blood flow to the brain and help in increased concentration, stimulate creativity, develop better problem-solving methods, and enable quick learning methods. 

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College Canteen is located adjacent to the main building of the college. A variety of South Indian food and snack items are provided to the students and staff of the college with the highest quality. Canteen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the canteen.

The College buses are plying from various parts of the city to come to the college. Students and staff can access this facility by registering themselves in the office.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.
