PSG College of Nursing, Coimbatore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a boys’ hostel with comfortable accommodations for the students within the campus during their course of study. The hostel is clean and comfortable, and each room is provided with adequate facilities for staying and studying. The hostel has a Visitors’ Lounge, Recreation Hall, Study Hall, and Prayer Hall facilities for Indoor Games, magazine reading, and Television. Mess facilities are available with a well-maintained dining hall adjacent to the hostel. Vegetarian/ Non-Vegetarian meals are prepared hygienically and served aesthetically.

The college has a girls' hostel with comfortable accommodations for the students within the campus during their course of study. The hostel is clean and comfortable, and each room is provided with adequate facilities for staying and studying. The college has a storehouse of knowledge, stocking more than 10,000 books of current Medical and Nursing titles and subscribing to about 169 journals.

The college has sports and recreation facilities for the students through the Department of Physical Education. There are two Physical Directors (One male and one female) available to give coaching and training to the students. The sports facilities include outdoor games like Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Tennikoit, Tennis, Shuttle, Badminton, and Indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom & Chess. There is also a spacious playground for athletic and field events like running, shot put, javelin, and Discuss throw.

The college has an IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The College has Alumni Association of the PSG College of Nursing was inaugurated on 24.09.1999. Currently, there are 730 alumni members registered with this association.

The college has well-equipped with Mannequins, Simulators, necessary articles, and equipment for Procedure Demonstrations, Models, Specimens, Visual Aids, and Computers. Laboratories are utilized for demonstrations and student practice of procedures under supervision.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has well-ventilated classrooms with comfortable seating arrangements. Each classroom is equipped with blackboards, OHPs, LCDs, and a Public address system.

The college has Placement cell was established in 2006 with the aspiration to provide the best career opportunities for nursing students. The final year nursing students are recruited by various organizations in and around Coimbatore and major cities in India. The well-established recruiting agencies visit our institution every year. The cell also proposes to conduct seminars and workshops to enable the students to become successful professionals. The cell had focused on campus Interviews and also encourages the students for higher education in India & Abroad. We have a proven track record of consistent high-quality placements of students in various hospitals and colleges in India and abroad year-on-year. During 2018 and 2017, 100% of our students were placed through campus recruitment in different hospitals in various cities of India and in other nations.
