Seth Navrang Rai Lohia Jairam Girls College, Kurukshetra Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The college also provides hostel facilities to outstation students. Hostel affairs are very well looked after by an experienced Hostel Warden. The hostel mess is run on a cooperative basis. Hostel rooms are airy, and an academic atmosphere is maintained in the hostel.

The College has a library that stimulates the students to obtain, evaluate, and recognize knowledge and to familiarize themselves with the trends of knowledge for further education and learning new disciplines. Keeping in view the need of heart, a vast and enriched collection of more than 8197 books and subscribing to more than 18 periodicals and journals, on current affairs and general interests, and 7 national and regional dailies to keep the student's knowledge Up-to-Date. The complete information about the books as well as about the students to whom they have been issued can be found with the click of a button. The library provides an Open Access System to all its members through computers. Students directly access their desired books from the shelves and borrow desired books from the Circulation Desk for home reading. The college Library is housed in a hall with a seating capacity of 30 and a separate hall for using computers enabled with Wi-Fi connectivity. 

The college has a Physics Lab and Chemistry Lab for science students, which are equipped with all the apparatus and equipment as per the requirements of students. There are two Computer Labs with several computers, allied accessories, and an internet facility. In addition to the above labs, the college also has a Home Science lab equipped with three LPG cylinders, electrical gadgets like Mixi, OTG, Microwave ovens, Sewing machines, etc. There are two Music Labs: one for music vocals and one for music instrumentals. These labs are equipped with the requisite musical instruments. A Psychology Lab was also established on the campus after the introduction of the subject of Psychology in the Bachelor of Arts course. 

The college has an auditorium named Sh. Devender Swaroop Bharamchari Auditorium has a seating capacity of about one thousand people with a light and sound system. The auditorium is extensively used for extra-curricular events and for hosting functions of the college, such as the annual day, convocation, and seminars. It is equipped with a large stage, two green rooms, washrooms, a locker, and a podium.

The college has a canteen and is a popular meeting place for students. A canteen is available on the college premises offering various types of snacks, shakes, juices, and other eateries. Fresh and nutritious food is available at a minimum cost. It is ensured that the canteen remains clean and hygienic. 

The college has Computer Labs that are fitted with several computers, with all other accessories and internet facilities too. The latest software has been purchased for teaching computers to commerce students and to the students of B.Sc. Computer science.

The college has a Gym facility for the students. College is the absolute best time for students to learn the importance of making time and dedicating energy to a health and fitness program. They believe that the habits set in college will transfer into their lives after college. It is a job to teach how to care for the body, just as the brain. Students and faculty members meditate and even practice yoga.

The College has provided campus has well-maintained playgrounds for outdoor games like football, basketball, hockey, and kabaddi, as well as for indoor games like badminton, table tennis, Chess, Carrom, etc. The grounds are well-maintained. Well, the latest play material is provided to the students by the authorities. The sports facility is provided by trained female sports staff. Girls also get coaching from experienced people.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The College has transport facilities, including 14 buses, for the students who daily commute from nearby villages to the college. Almost fifty percent of students commute to college on buses. Allied with this, the college has an ambulance and some other four-wheelers, including a Bolero, for emergency requirements. 

The College medical facility is available on the college campus. In case of emergency, a 24-hour ambulance Facility is also available.
