The M.Com. department, one of the newly introduced post-graduate courses offered by St. Xavier's College since its post-autonomy period, is governed by the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm of 'conscience, competence, compassion, and commitment'. Born in 2007, the motto of the department is to offer quality education in the higher studies of commerce and to develop human resources with social values catering to the needs of both, industries and academia, at the national and international level.
Eligibility Criteria
A candidate who has passed Bachelor degree of 3 years duration Course with 55% In B.Com (Hons) Or BBA/BMS (45% For Sc/St/ Christian Minority Students) from any recognized university.

Admission Based on Admission Test Under the University of Calcutta.

Fantastic And classic buildings stand tall on which you can be proud of. They speak nothing but legacy since more than a century. Classrooms, library, halls and auditoriums are well equipped and is enough for on class seminars and workshops. The surroundings are spacious and we'll maintained with waste management systems.

College Infrastructure
Best in class which is more than enough in terms of infrastructure. The college is 160 years old and the Roman architecture stands with pride. The classrooms are big and technically advanced. There are smart boards in classrooms. Cyber rooms, finance labs will help you over the years while pursuing the course.

College Infrastructure
The infrastructural facilities are more than enough. Most of the classrooms have projectors and are spacious. The labs are as per requirements for all departments. Guess what, we even have a Finance lab for the commerce students. Yes, there are hostels separate for boys and girls. The canteen is hygienic. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The buildings are of Roman Gothic style and is venerable.
