Eligibility For Admission Into I-year of 4-year B.E. Degree course:

Minimum Qualifications

• A pass in H.Sc. (Academic with Maths, Physics and Chemistry) (or)
• A pass in H.Sc. (Vocational Stream)

Minimum Marks prescribed by the Govt. of Tamilnadu

• H.Sc. (Academic) and other equivalent candidates:

  	OC	BC	MBC/DNT	SC	ST
  Average Marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry	45%	40%	40%	40%	40%

• H.Sc. (Vocational) candidates:

  	OC	BC	MBC/DNT	SC	ST
  Average Marks in Maths / Physics / Chemistry / Vocational subject under Part-III	45%	40%	40%	40%	40%

• For Students from other states

  The students who have passed the qualifying examinations from other states under the CBSE syllabus can join directly. Others should produce an Equivalent Certificate from the State Board concerned.

Lateral Entry scheme (Admission into II years of B.E. Degree course):

Minimum Qualifications

• A pass with minimum eligible marks in the Diploma Course of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamilnadu / equivalent course prescribed for the Degree course (or)
• Any other equivalent qualification approved by the State Board of Technical Education / Higher Secondary Board of \ Tamilnadu. Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than two appearances.

For calculation of marks in respect of sandwich diploma passed candidates marks secured in the last two semesters shall be considered. If the Industrial training intervenes in any one of the last two semesters, then the marks of the previous semester in which there is no industrial training shall be considered for calculating the marks.
