The New College Library has been emerging as a knowledge resource centre mainly catering to the needs of the faculty, administrative staff, research scholars and students towards accessing information. Every student of the I-year degree class shall be required to undergo the course of physical training prescribed by the college and his annual attendance and progress certificates shall not be considered complete unless the principal has certified on the report of the director of physical education that the student has satisfactorily undergone the prescribed course in physical training and put in three-fourths of the attendance in addition to the usual course of instruction. No student will be exempted from the course of physical training except such students as may have been declared by the medical officer of the college to be unfit to undergo a course of physical training and approved by the university. However, students who are in N.C.C. and N.S.S. will be exempted
