Sorry dear but the rank 7973 that your friend got is not that good and you can expect that there is no possibility for good branches through GATE in AU.You can expect branches like ME-ENVIRONMENTAL ENGG & MANG ,ME-HEAT TRANSFER IN ENERGY SYSTEMS ,etc. in Andhra University based on previous year cut offs.
Hope this helps.feel free to ask.
Thanks.
Hello aspirant! Let me to inform you that according to the previous years cut off and closing rank for jntuk or jntua your chances to get the college with your pgecet rank is quite bleak. However the first preference is given to the gate qualified candidates so if less gate candidates apply there then you might get the college.
Hi Kakarla,
On analysing the previous year's cutoff ranks for bca courses in different colleges through ap-icet is as follows :-
1.for JNTUK and SVU- from 1 to 100 ranks
2.for AU and ANU - from 101 to 500 ranks
As these are top ranked and grade'A' and grade'B' colleges thatswhy their cutoff ranks are high as well.
So, this year as well the cutoff will be around this only.
Good luck.
Hey Satish! Self Financing courses are courses for which Government or UGC financial aid is not provided and student has to bear the cost of study. Self financing courses cost more than the regular courses but the curriculum remain the same. So chose wisely what to select. Hope this may help you.
Hello Parivarshitha,
The cut off for GVP College of Engineering is pretty average plus you have the benefits of female and BC-B quota so getting into this college will be very easy for your rank. The closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering branch is 109658 which is a lot far from your rank. So, you can easily get into this college.
All The Best.
Hello Parivarshitha.
Congratulations on securing this rank.
Well unless you mention the name of the entrance you have appeared for, I won't be able to help you properly regarding your query. Since there are many entrance examinations, it is hard to guess which one are you actually talking about. I would suggest you to comment down below the name of the entrance so that I can help you further. You can even repost this question properly with the necessary tags and we will be more than glad to help you.
Hello, aspirant,
Both the branches are important at their own place. It depends solely on your choice whether you would ho for marine engineering or mechanical engineering.
It can be said that it totally depends on how you want to shape your future.
According to the present scenario, for Jon opportunities mechanical is a better branch. It gives you vast opportunities like a job, you can also prepare for UPSC, banking exam, PSU's or rather do M. Tech afterwards.
But if you are sure that you are interested in Merchant navy then go for marine engineering only. Its fees are comparatively greater than mechanical engineering.
But the salaries are also higher.
I would suggest to try in IIT's and nits for better opportunities.
Hi there
Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam is the best in terms of placements.
This college gives the highest priority to placements for all the branches. It has a good scope for everyone to get placed, and the placements list mentioned on the website of college is absolutely true.
Companies like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS, etc., offer many jobs to students. They offer jobs on the basis of knowledge but not on the basis of students' academic scores. Some other companies like Tech Mahindra also hire students. All these companies offer a salary package of 3.5 LPA on an average.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hello,
The highest package at GVP college of engineerig was 15 LPA. The placements at AU women has a highest package of approximately 7lpa. At ANITS, the highest package was 25lpa. In my opinion ANITS is better than the other colleges mentioned, after looking at the placements. But i must say all the highest packages were offered for either cse/ece students. Think about it, if you are not from cse/ece.
Good Luck!
The college also has several well-maintained auditoriums and seminar halls, where guest lectures and events are regularly held. In terms of recreational facilities, the college offers a gym, sports courts, and a student activity center. While the overall infrastructure is excellent, the college could improve its parking facilities, as space can be limited during peak hours.
college has all the infrastructure, facilities and well equipped labs. campus has wifi, smart classrooms, projectors, practical knowledge labs and classrooms. living space is clean and food is hygienic also
College has some better infrastructure facilities like clean and neat campus, good buildings and classrooms etc. Even though the classrooms are yet to be improvised with modern updations like projectors. Campus in not wifi enabled
