This university has very few seats in states quota as it is a state government sponsored college. There are around 10 percent of the total strength of North Indian students.

As most of the seats are reserved for Tamil Nadu residents so it is very difficult to find any North Indian in the campus.

The cut off ranks vary every year. According to TNEA 2019 the cut off rank for ST candidates in BE CSE is 14448.The cut offs depend on a variety of factors and are subjected to variations.

The qualifying cut off for TANCET 2020 is expected to be between 38 to 40 marks for general category , between 33 to 35 marks for BC category and 21 to 35 for candidates belonging to SC/ST.

see cutoff score changes year to year and it depends on certain facts like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, your choice of streams etc. you may get admission through gate score or tancet score. however at this score you have less chances for tier 1 colleges what ever stream you may apply for. I suggest you to apply for some of the other mtech entrance test like vit mee, bits hd, etc if you want to study from tier 1 institute.

You have not mentioned for which course you want to know. Anna University provides course like Btech, BArch, Mtech , MArch, MPlan, MBA, MCA , MSc, MPHil, PhD.

for different branch there are different exam like for UG :- TNEA , for PG:- TANCET, GATE for ME/Mtech, for MSc, MPhil :- screening test , for PhD;- UGC NET.

different exam have different pattern of evaluation. On an average, mean score will be above 50% of total score. to know precisely about the calculation process, check the entrance exam details in which you are interested.
