KTU Admissions 2024: APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram offers UG, PG and PhD level programmes in engineering, architecture, management and technology fields. The KTU admission into B. Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Arch, B.Des, BHMCT, MCA, M.Tech and MBA are provided on the basis of relevant entrance exams and performance in the qualifying examination. For getting admission into the various KTU courses, the candidates are supposed to appear and get the required marks in the entrance tests such as GATE, KEAM, NATA, MAT, KMAT Kerala, and KMAT.

B.Tech	Entrance	Candidates are given admission based on the scores got in KEAM and marks obtained in HSE, Kerala and equivalent exams.
B.Arch		Based on the NATA score and marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
BHMCT		Based on the marks in the recognised entrance examination
M.Tech		Based on scores in GATE and marks obtained in B.Tech or bachelor degree in engineering.
MBA		Students will be shortlisted based on CAT/ KMAT/ CMAT and scores in the previous degree.


MCA		students will be given admission based on their scores in the CUET UG.
PhD		Based on the scores secured in the NET/SET/SLET/GATE/CEED examination.

KTU Application Procedure

To apply for admission, the eligible candidates can visit the official website and apply for the course they want to enrol in.
The candidate must fill out an online application form and provide the required documents.
Then, candidates will have to pay the prescribed KTU application fee and submit the application after reviewing it thoroughly.

KTU UG Admissions 2024

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University provides undergraduate programmes in engineering, technology and architecture. The duration of KTU UG courses ranges from 4-5 years.

KTU UG Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech.	180	Marks secured in the Higher Secondary Examination of Kerala, CISCE, 12th standard VHSE, CBSE or any other equivalent examinations with at least 50% in Mathematics separately and 50% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry together. + KEAM
B Arch	40-120	Candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, CBSE, 12th standard VHSE, CISCE or any other equivalent exams with a minimum of50 % marks in Mathematics OR a Diploma in Engineering by the Board of Technical Education, Kerala or an equivalent diploma with a minimum of 50% in the final exam. + NATA
BHMCT	180	Candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, 12th standard VHSE, CISCE, CBSE or equivalent examination. + recognised entrance examination

KTU B.Tech Admission Procedure

The applicant needs to apply and appear for KEAM and secure a prescribed score.
Them, those who qualified in KEAM will be required to sit for the counselling process.
Candidates into KTU B.Tech programmes will be shortlisted based on the marks got in the prescribed entrance examination and will be given allotment numbers.
The allotted candidate will have to submit all the required documents and start taking the course by paying the fee.
Some of the seats in the B.Tech course will be also given based on merit.

KTU B Arch Admission Procedure

The eligible applicants must appear for the entrance exam NATA and get a valid score.
The applicants who satisfy the cutoff will be shortlisted and given the allotment number.
The allotted candidates will have to submit and verify their documents and pay the course fee to start with the course.

KTU PG Admissions 2024

KTU provides PG programmes M.Tech, MBA, MCA and M Arch. The duration of the post-graduate programmes is 2 years whereas the integrated PG programme is 5 years.

KTU PG Eligibility Criteria

MTech	24-36	Btech with 60% marks (54% for SC and ST) and score obtained in GATE.
MBA	60-180	Candidates must have obtained 50% marks UG programme + CAT, CMAT, KMAT Kerala
M Arch	18-20	The applicant should have a bachelor's in architecture with 60% mark
MCA	90-120	Based on mark in in the CUET UG test.

KTU PG Admission Procedure: MTech, MBA & MCA

The applicants must ensure that they are eligible for M Tech and MBA.
Apply and get the required score in GATE/AT/ CMAT/ KMAT Kerala/CUET UG.
The shortlisted candidates will be given allotment numbers.
Then, they can submit and verify all the documents submitted during the application procedure.
Complete the admission procedure by paying the fee and join the programme.

KTU M Arch Admission Procedure

Candidates who have 60% marks in bachelor's in architecture can apply online.
Upload the needed documents and submit the application form.
KTU will provide admission based on merit.
The selected candidates can enrol in the course by paying the course fee.

KTU PhD Admissions 2024

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram offers both full-time and part-time Ph.D. programmes in the fields of engineering, management and technology.

KTU Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

Ph.D.	Must have passed Mater’s Degree with 55% marks and the marks obtained in the entrance tests.

KTU Ph.D. Admission Procedure

The eligible candidates who have not qualified for NET/GATE need to appear for the entrance test by KTU.

The shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview and the admission will be based on the whole performance.

Academics

Academics is pretty good here and placements in circuital branches tell you the story. In terms of attendance and syllabus completion it is strict. Professors are supportive and their teaching is excellent enough to make anyone job ready who pays proper attention and puts the required effort.
