Academics
The research environment was exceptional and my supervisor pushed me to think globally and aim for top-tier conferences. I also valued the weekly research seminars and the ability to collaborate freely with the professors from other departments on interdisciplinary projects.
College Infra
I have always appreciated having a dedicated research desk and reliable internet access in the department which is an essential part for a Doctor of Philosophy student. The laboratories were continuously upgraded, allowing me to conduct cutting-edge experiments for my thesis.
Campus Life
I enjoyed a unique sense of community because I lived in the hall for many years alongside with other scholars, especially fellow researchers. I found my social life centered on my department colleagues and research group, which was perfect for me at that stage.
Placements
I rate this lower because I did not use the central placement cell. I handled my job search individually. I heard that the placement cell was more active for the students of Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology course. For me my course was more about creating career options than being placed by a recruiter, so I had to be proactive in networking and showcasing my original work.
Value For Money
This program offered excellent financial value because the monthly stipend fully covered my living expenses and I never had to worry about rent or fees. I also had access to travel funds that helped me present my work at international conferences, which was priceless for my professional development.

Academics
My Master of Technology course was extremely rigorous and I loved that I was constantly challenged. I felt I was being taught by some of the most educated professors in my field, and I gained deep, socialized knowledge through my thesis work.
College Infra
I was absolutely stunned by the massive size of the campus as it felt like a small-contained city to me. I found the Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering department and research laboratories well-equipped. I spent countless hours in the amazing central library.
Campus Life
I experienced great independence living in the hall of residence. I truly enjoyed the late-night talks and activities that me and my friends used to do. The college environment is fun but focused. Sometimes, I had to study during my free time because of the vast syllabus.
Placements
I secured a fantastic job effortlessly during the campus placements. I know the top core companies valued my specialization, and I found the placement process to be very efficient and successful for me.
Value For Money
I received the highest possible return on investment. The institute provided enough facilities for students to do their studies.The tuition fees were minimal compared to the world-class education I received and I secured an excellent career path because of it.

if you want to make a career in software or IT, then both Agriculture and Food Engineering and Mining Engineering at IIT Kharagpur are not directly related to that field. However, students from these branches can still enter the software industry by learning coding, doing internships, and working on software
