Gautam Budh university is a decent college with average placement opportunities and limited exposure. The faculty for both the colleges/universities are comparable. Though the fees at GBU is affordable for all income groups.

Gautam Buddha University (GBU) offers several courses at UG, PG and research level. The university has 12 streams . Some of the streams are Science, Arts, Law, Management, Engineering and various others.

The university will conduct an entrance test for taking admission in various courses offered by the Gautam Buddha University. In order to apply for these courses, the students need to have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics securing minimum 50% marks. The final selection is only done on the basis of an entrance exam ( GBU-ET ) conducted by the university.

GBU is Gautam Buddha University which is present in Delhi. So if you want to take admission in biotechnology BTech then you have to give JEE Mains examination. I think you gave this examination that's why you written 48 air or all India rank and 12 is OBC category rank , but you didn't mention this is rank or marks. If it's rank then dear you will get NITs also. So many good government colleges you will get. But if it's marks then it's quite difficult to predict which college you will get. How many seats of ballb in ddu

Firstly congratulations for you Elite ranks. As you said that you have got 257 rank in AIR and 58 rank in GBU, from my personal aspect its is good enough to get the admission in GBU in CS branch.

The seats intake in CS branch is 60 which is very limited and based on the cutoff ranks they will give the admission. Depending on the students application the cut-off list will be released by GBU authorities.

With having such good ranks, you can surely get admission in either first or second counselling.

GBU offers B.Tech CSE with specialization in Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Cyber Security, and Data Science. The course fee per year varies from course type.

The fees structure as per the official brochure 2021-22 have been stated below for the course of BTech CSE:

• B. Tech. Programmes (CSE/ECE/IT) (4-Year) fees per semester: Rs. 75000
• B. Tech. Programmes (CSE) (4-Year) Self Finance: Rs. 98000
• B. Tech. Programmes (CSE) (4-Year) with specilization IoT/ Machine Learning/ Data Science/ Cyber Security: Rs. 1,35,000.

In order to get the total course fee multiply each semester course fee by 8 as BTech is a 4 year course consisting of 8 semesters.

It is always good to wait till last round during counseling process , as there will be many students who wants to get in another college. Since , your rank is 285 , you have to wait for second round. Even , there is Btech-Mtech integrated courses in the field of CS. so, you can apply for that also.

Yes it's Good college for Biotechnology.
Usually even in the best colleges in India, there is no dedicated block for biotechnology in campus but in Gautam Buddha University  there is a dedicated building for students of biotechnology which they don't share with any branch of Engineering.
