Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at 12th standard level are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree Programmes. However,

Candidates appearing for the GIETEE should have either completed or shall be appearing , in any one of the following qualifying examinations:

The final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE, New Delhi).

Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.

As per GIET UNIVERSITY norms, NIOS candidates are also eligible to apply. They should submit Migration-Cum-Transfer certificate at the time of admission.

BCA

The eligibility criteria for BCA is a pass in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State / Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% overall aggregate.

Minimum of 55% marks / 5.5 (on a 10-point scale) in B.E. /B. Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent in appropriate branches, Candidates who have a valid GATE score, are eligible to apply for M. Tech.

MA

Graduation from any recognised University or UGC/AICTE recognised Institute/College in any stream with English as compulsory subject with minimum aggregate marks of 50% or CGPA of 5.5 for Gen/OBC and 45% marks or CGPA of 5.0 for SC/ST Category.

M.Sc

Bachelor’s degree in Science from a recognised college/ university. Minimum marks that candidates need to secure in graduation in order to be eligible for an MSc course is usually 50 – 60%. However, the required percentage might change depending on the policy of a university or institute in which a candidate is applying.

The eligibility criteria for MCA is a 50% aggregate & Above in Graduation (Sc/Arts/Commerce).The student needs a 50% aggregate In Maths / Statistics / Comp. Sc./ Comp.Prog./ Comp.Applic. / Business Maths / Business Stats.(Either At 10 + 2 or Degree Level)to be considered eligible for MCA.

Ph.D

The eligibility criteria for Ph.D. admission require candidates to hold a Master's degree and have successfully completed M.Phil. coursework with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade. There is a relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) for candidates from specific categories like SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/differently-abled. Those who have undergone M.Phil. coursework and are awaiting viva voce results can also be admitted.
