HBTU Kanpur Q&A on Admission, Fee, Courses, Placements, Cutoff

Hi I would like to mention recent trends here;

UPSEE 2015. 452/600 yielded 1000 rank

UPSEE 2016 496/600 yielded 1000 rank

So as you can see there is a massive difference in the merit of these two years.To get into HBTI core branches(cse,it,ee,ece,me,CE,chemical) you need to get around 800 rank

Is HBTI linked to JEE MAINS and not to UPSEE from 2017?

Yes you're right from 2017 hbtu(formerly hbti) will be taking admission on the basis of jee main marks not uptu. As it is an independent university now.

on 155 marks in jee mains can I get it in hbti or iiest as I m from General category

Your approx. rank will be around 23,000. chances are average for HBTU and less for IIEST

For HBTU, cut off can go more than 160 marks for top branches and for IIEST cut off can go more than 220 marks.

what will be the cut off for HBTI in jee mains 2017 for General category.

HBTI will take admission through JEE Main first time because it comes under GFTI now and will participate in JoSAA counselling.

So it's difficult to predict score for this college but you should try to score more than 150 marks in JEE Main to get admission in this college. For

College Infrastructure

nfrastructure of my college is solid, with a balance between traditional charm and modern facilities. The classrooms are comfortable and equipped with audio-visual aids. Labs in all branches are functional and regularly updated, especially for Chemical and Mechanical Engineering. The library is rich in books and e-resources, supporting both academics and research.
