Admission to VIT Pune is done by two methods:

1. JEE MAIN
2. MHT CET

You have to fill out the state-level counselling. If you have a score that is enough for getting into this college, you will be selected.

Passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category) in the subjects mentioned above.

Admission Procedure:

• Candidates based in Maharashtra must appear for MH CET.
• Candidates from other states may appear for JEE Main/ MH CET and have a valid score. It must be noted that candidates having valid JEE Main scorecards will be given preference.
• Candidates must appear for the state-level counselling and choose VIT Pune as their choice
• Candidates must verify their documents at designated centers.
• During the process of counseling, candidates are allotted the streams based on the rank obtained in JEE Main/ MH CET.
• Candidates can lock their choice of stream in their designated college or choose to upgrade it in upcoming counseling rounds.
• After the counseling round, the candidate needs to report to the allotted institute and complete the admission procedure and pay the admission fees for final admission.

Honestly in 83 percentile coep is a very tough one to get because the cut offs are high for it.

But for vishwakarma institute of technology,Pune you can get branches like electrical , mechanical, civil and electronics and communication branch. However some factors are considered while predicting these things like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

MIT Pune is better that PICT, Symbiosis, and Bharti Vidyapeeth for B.tech.

Around 150 Companies visit this campus for placements. Academics is according to Industry standards and Faculty is also very experienced. There is strict discipline related to attendance and uniform. You need to maintain 75% attendance and there are two formal days where you need to wear the given Uniform. People are also very good.

In comparison to other three i would suggest MIT Pune seeing its academics, placement and crowd for B.tech Courses.

As your are an oms (outside Maharashtra state) candidate you have only 15% seats where you can take admission rest 85% is for Maharashtra candidates only or (Home state ) candidates, so due to that you may not get a seat at PICT PUNE as the cutoff goes above 99 percentile.

The entire admission process being centralised the cutoff usually closes for 90 percentage and later on preference is given to the army personal's (admission percentage based on other casts may vary) so, kindly make sure you appropriately fill your form and get admitted to a good college.
