Hostels are average...............instfracstructure is good. Yes...space is clean and food ia hygienic too..wifi speed ia good enough ................but amount of data they provide is much less.......
Qualtiy of teaching is good..yep..curriculum is updated....i am studying food technology .. the quailty of teaching is good... some teachers are exceptional in teaching.. they put a lot of hard work...
Number of placements are better than other colleges..also... students got much higher package than other colleges highest package.. average package is too good... as I have heard from seniors ... the process is easy for placements..
135000 is the coast of course per year.. yep..its worth enough... teachers really put a hard work and they are dedicated.. regular labs and practicals take place..where students can clear there doubts easily..
Campus life is good.. it is near zoo.. and students are safe too... campus size is much good... yes...it can handle emergencies... there is a proper place for parking tooo.. where one can park his vehicles easily..
Overall it is good........
Yes good the college is very good... faculty is nice the department of electronics and others are also very nice.teachers are very helpful leaving some...the staff is good but sometimes the college is dirty.rest everything is good.
I'm studying electronics engineering and the staff assistant professor other teachers and the labs are very nice.tge library is well equipped with books....and the study which is happening is of great importance and will surely help us securing a job either on campus and if not then definitely off campus
The placements of cs it and et branch are average and if you want a decent placement on a company then my friend you must work on coding and software part. The avg placement is about 6-7 lpa and highest varies. This year we secured a package of 30lpa...last year Shubham sir secured a package of 37 lpa in Microsoft. Placement is good in paint and oil technology rest are average.
Good college and good atmosphere.i agree that it is not any IIT or nit but my friend you will never regret infront of anybody to tell your college that you are a student of hbtu.the college has completed its 100 years and has a very good fame in education feild.
Awesome and chilling..the hostel Life is also good and decent.various things are available to do in campus.the campus is not as big as centrally funded institutions but yes if you come here then you can enjoy with a nice ambiance and more famous city like Kanpur.
Over-all the college is good...jaisa bhi h ab hai to apna hi college to accha hi hai.... Pr yes work hard try to get into IIT or nit. If not then coming to hbtu will not let your ambitions down.you will surely fulfill your dreams from here also and enjoy your college life.... Peace:)
Neither good nor bad.labs are ok,cafeteria very bad, library ok, classrooms ok, auditorium very small, very few people can accomodate, main building is nice but some renewation needed, some branches have combined classes that should be separate
Academics is fine, some teachers are very good you will understand Everything but some are moderate, you cannot depend on teacher only, you have to study also, marking in exams is tough, many Students got back in many subjects some get year back to
Best thing about college is placement,it is better then many nit and iiit highest package 43 lacs in Amazon, placement in non core branches is fine specially in paint and plastic technology,cs has approximately 100% placement
Fees increasing every year but zero value of money,10% fres is increased every year, hostel and news feed is very high but give very bad food at mess, sometimes the sweet dish are finished if you go late in mess, the mess workers keep for themselve
Zero campus life, two campus East campus and West campus both are not good, there is nothing in the campus you can enjoy just sit in the hostel or play in the group which also not maintained, there is nothing in the comous to see
Only placement is fine.No campus life, very old infrastructure and very bad, academics is fine, many students get good rank in gate and IES,if you only want placement then you can join but if you want campus life then it is not for you
The infrastructure being old is quite poor and the washrooms are not well maintained.Presently they follow smart class system by using digital board. Their is garbage split everywhere around college with no dustbins. The facilities and Equipments are also not well maintained
The teachers are experienced and have enough knowledge about their subjects. But some of the Facilities don't know the way to taught the students. Their is enough politics among teachers regarding students. The curriculum is updated and studies are conducted in proper sincere manner
The placements of 3-4 CSE students is very good but rrest on an average the placements are ok. They offer 100% Placements to Paint tech Students. But the average package is not too good among the Students
The fees for first year students is 1,25,000 and it is worth taken.. The fees is not high and not too low.
Overall the college is full of experiences and passion among students is long lasting. Due to the students confident nature the expectations from the college is very high in terms of fests or other Events held by the college. The location of the college is safe. It may handle emergencies too. Students can engage in extra curricular activities a lot and due to enough time after the college students can prepare for other examinations very easily
Overall the college is good and the experience is above expectations till now. In terms of money like in fests and other Events don't expect anything from college.. It is a good experiencing college only because of Students
Infrastructure has been always a weak point for HBTU. Recently we have seen some positive changes like installation of smart boards in classroom and WiFi and it's improving day by day. Still some improvements are required to make it a better infrastructure.
I am a first year B.Tech. student of Plastic Technology which is a branch of school of chemical technology. The quality of teaching is good here. The syllabus is updated and similar to AKTU formerly known as UPTU.
The placement scenario in Hbtu is good. It's outstanding in branches like CSE and chemical engineering. Paint, plastic, oil and information technology have also very good placement. Overall we can say that placement in hbtu is quite good.
It's Rs 135000 per year. It is the new fee system applied from 2019 with the condition of 10% increase in fee every year.
Campus life in hbtu is amazing. You will surely love the environment here.
Our college have all necessary things, infrastructure, facilities and equipments. But except one thing - a gym for 1st year students. We don't have WiFi. Living spaces are very clean and hygienic. Food is good in 1st year. Hostels have very old infrastructure, which is worst part of this college.
Academics are good. Quality of teaching is moderate. Yes absolutely it makes us job ready . But you have develope some skills for your placement. It gives you an edge in interview . Keep learning is art of living.
Quality of placements are moderate. Every branch have their own percentage of placements. Highest salary was offered in computer science and engineering which was 60 lakh per annum. Average salary offered was around 8.5 lakh per annum. Which is quite good than some NITs.
It costs 1.35 lakh per annum.
Campus life is outstanding because you will get so much time to have fun and you can learn anything what you can. Location is fine. It is very safe.
The college has average to substandard laboratories and other facilities. The classrooms are now equipped with electronic boards. The campus has wifi powered by jio obviously slow. The campus is clean on the outside but dogs can be seen roaming inside even the classrooms.
You will need to study everything on your own atleast in the first year. The teacher will explain you anything to you if you approach them but the classes are not very helpful. The facilities are guest faculty for first year students.
If you maintain a decent score and complete your internship properly you have a fairly high chance to get placed. The placements are higher for computer science, chemical engineering, and mechanical engineering, and paint technology.
The course cost 1,35,000 rupees in the first year and the fee increases 10% every year. The college is not exactly worth the money but it is not as bad as people say it is. However if you get any of the core branches in this college you should go for it.
All the sports activities are limited to hosteilers because they commence during the late hours. The doctor is only available for two hours a day so for any medical emergency you would need to visit a hospital.
Our college infrastructure is quite old and less maintained as its one of the oldest engineering college in the country. Our classrooms are now having smart boards and wifi but somehow we lack in our sports facility
Our academics is good , being in first year I am not the right person to answer this but faculty here is highly educated but quality of teaching and behavior changes from teacher to teacher and some of them are really helpful and kind
College placement depends on branch to branch most and highest placement goes from CS as other colleges but then we can see the dominance of non core branches like paint technology and plastic technology
You won't realise that it's a government college when you will see it's fees , HBTU charges 1,35,000/- this year this fees may further rise in upcoming years and hostel fees of 65,000 /- it's really high and nearly equal to those of private college
We have a really poor campus life. You won't spot ant one after 5 , we have two campus , east campus comprises of 1 year boys hostel , girls hostel of every year and educational structures were as 2nd,3rd and final year hostels are in West campus
Building purani hai lekin achhi hai, Kafi maza aata hai. The infrastructure and the building design totally explains that building is hundred year old.Apart from the structure, hygiene is also commendable.
Teaching quality is awesome with experienced teachers. Concepts are taught in a good manner with no hurry.Due to good quality education , placements are higher which is one of the great proof. In nutshell HBTU provide good education.
Placements are best as compared to other colleges. Actually HBTU is known for its good placements . Computer Science placements are between 48 lakhs per annum to 60 lakhs per annum. Average for all branches is 7 to 8 lakh per annum
Course cost is little bit higher, but it Worth's.
Friendly environment, Friends cum Family
College have all the facilities that a graduation college should which includes lab equipment and they are now being updated as per the need only place the college lacks is infrastructure as college has almost completed 100 years
Harcourt Butler Technical University being a well renowned government college have well qualified teachers but they are not that prone in teaching just like other government institutions so it totally depends on your caliber
Placements are quite good you can get your desired or deemed packages by a engineering graduate the average package is around 5 lakh and it goes as high as 48 and 60 lakhs for specially in cs/it branch.
In this aspect the college might seem to you not that value for money as the fees is high for first year it is almost 1lakh 40 thousand excluding hostel fee which you might find high compared to other colleges
You will very well enjoy the campus life being at this college with supportive and friendly seniors and also as the campus is situated in the centre of the city which means you will always be surrounded by malls theaters and many food outlets to hangout.
Dear
According to the information with a JEE Mains rank of 98,300 in the general category, getting admission to NITs, IIITs, or HBTI might be challenging as these institutes have higher cutoffs. However, you still have some options:
Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) : You have a good chance of getting admission to various branches here.
Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTI) : This university also offers several engineering branches, and your rank might be competitive for admission.
Thapar University : While it's a reputed institution, your rank might be on the lower side for top branches. However, you can still try for less competitive branches.
It's always a good idea to check the latest cutoff trends and contact the admission offices of these universities for the most accurate information.

Hi
hope you doing well
You have a good chance of getting CSE with 93.34 percentile in JEE Mains 2024 and OBC-NCL category from Uttar Pradesh at HBTU (Harcourt Butler Technical University), Kanpur through AKTU/UPTU counseling.
So, your CRL (Common Rank List) rank is around 61,800 .
Generally, the OBC rank is around 25-30% of the CRL rank.
Estimated OBC-NCL rank = 15,000 - 18,500.
If CSE seems tight, you can still get some excellent branches like:
Best Wishes.
Hello Aditya,
The CSE cut off in computer science in HBTU was 22184 for the other state quota and for the Uttar Pradesh domicile quota, it was also the same. So you should get around 98 percentile in order to get the cse branch in this college.
However the cut off may vary due to certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous year cutoffs and difficulty level of the examination and the number of seats available in the college.
