Dear student,

As you have secured 1837 sc category rank in jee mains, then as per seeing the cutoff trends of iiit allahabad, you will not get your preferred branch.

The cutoff for Information Technology-Business Informatics, is :-

OR - 1501
CR - 1641

And this cutoff opening and closing rank is since round 1, that means the seats are full till round 5, now, if anyone's seat got cancelled or if anyone left their seat, then it will create a vacant position, and if the seat becomes vacant, then there is a chance that cutoff will increase a bit.

But, as per seeing the trends there is negligible chance that you can get Information Technology-Business Informatics in iiit allahabad this year in josaa counseling because there is no increment of cutoff till 5th round of seat allocation.
But, as per seeing last year cutoff trends the is still a chance that you can get Information Technology-Business Informatics in iiit allahabad.
Otherwise in csab definitely you will get this branch.

IIIT Allahabad's B.Tech in IT Business Informatics is a decent branch to say the least.

here are some basic details about it:

- 5.3 lacs total course fees

- Median placement salary offered 12 lacs per annum (as per the college)

- 40 seats available through JEE Mains

As far as reputation is concerned then IIIT Allahabad is a good institute with solid rating by current students. You should definitely check out some reviews about it and also the official website for IIIT Allahabad.

Csab special round counselling is conducted by central seat allocation board and is organised for filling the vacant seat into NITs, IIITs, gftis and IIEST.
Now in CSAB special round counselling your category wise CRL ranks is used for counselling and seat allocation .

Now, last year the cutoff ranks for iiit allhabad, information technology in csab special rounds 1 counseling for ews candidates on the basis of their crl ranks was ( under gender neutral) :-

OPENING RANK - 6553
Closing rank - 7867.

This is not the category rank. This is the the cutoff CRL RANK for ews category candidates. Which means if an ews category candidate secures an ews rank of around 850, then only the candidate can secure a crl rank of around 7800, and then the candidate will get seat in this particular branch in csab. As you have secured 3587 ews rank, then your CRL rank must be around 30000.
So, there is no chance that you can get iiit allahabad.

According to previous year last round cutoff and trends the closing rank to get the admission in IT in IIIT Allahabad under OBC category is around 2318 and your rank is above that hence the chances are low to get the admission but a sudden or less change in cutoff can make you to get the seat.

Hello Ruchitha Vanam , I suggest you to selecting IIIT Allahabad ECE above the NIT surat. Because IIIT Allahabad has excellent Research Facilities, Infrastructure and Academic Outlook. When placements are discussed with average package lying between 15-18 LPA for ECE. Companies like Microsoft, Qualcomm, Google, Amazon, Reliance Jio and Intel are top recruiters at IIIT A ECE. Overall it is one of the institutes which is steadily rising up and matching levels and legacy of top IITs and NITs in fields of Information Technology.

Both are reputed colleges in computer science engineering  field and  you can choose any one but if we compare then both have good faculty , infrastructure and placements  .
In iiit Allahabad  highest package - 43 LPA
Average package - 20.83 LPA
In NIT calicut  highest package - 49.75LPA
Average package - 11.58LPA
So in terms of average salary iiit Allahabad  has an upper hand but  the last choice depends upon you .
