Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology is a four-year full-time undergraduate course and it is offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi.

The Department offers a unique blend of scientific expertise in applied biological sciences, chemical, and biochemical engineering. It strives for application of this expertise to evolve various biotechnological products, processes, and services through:

Generation of highly trained human resources capable of quantitative analysis of biological systems to facilitate their role in manning modern bioprocess industries and to provide an integrated approach to research and development in biotechnology.
Evolving research and development programs to develop products and provide services in bioenergy, environment, and therapeutics.
Leading global innovations in Bioprocess Technology, Applied Biological Sciences, and facilitate participation in industrial consulting and sponsored research. Dissemination of knowledge generated through short-term courses, workshops, and conferences.

Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed class XII (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects and secured at least 75% aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PwD candidates should be at least 65%.

Admission Details

Admission to all Undergraduate Programmes through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main and Advanced).

College Infrastructure

IIT Delhi has a great infrastructure. Now, more number of academic buildings are also in construction. There is greenery all over the campus. Classrooms are fitted with Air conditioner, speaker, Mic. Renovation work is also in progress.

My experience in IIT delhi till now is memorable

College Infrastructure

Our college has all the necessary infrastructure,facilities and equipments.The campus has 24*7 wifi facility all over the campus and hostels.Library is the best thing of IIT D ,it is also open 24*7 except some holidays ,here you can make most your time studying during exams .Labs are well equiped with Ac's in some of the labs.IITD has a big lecture hall complex where most of the classes are held.The campus has AC in classrooms and most of the areas except hostels.
