The Department that started its academic career with just one student in the undergraduate level, on the very first year of its coming into existence in 1956, has now developed into a prestigious faculty with excellent achievements in the fields of teaching and research. The Department can boast of a rich legacy of eminent faculty members such as Prof. Nemai Sadhan Bose and Prof. Sushobhan Sarkar.
Eligibility Criteria
A person, who have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
Admission Details
Admission to undergraduate programs in the FET is through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, conducted by an independent body, followed by counseling.

College Infrastructure
College infrastructure really needs to upgrade. Even though there's wifi, adequate classrooms and all of that, the cleanliness amd the buildings need to do better. There's also a shortage of desks and chairs.
Extremely good experience. Exactly what I had always wanted.

College Infrastructure
A very liberal space where everyone is free to express themselves without the fear of getting judged. The libraries have adequate books for students of all the classes. The classrooms have enough space to accommodate at least 70 people.
I think this university is help to build my career.

College Infrastructure
Our college infrastructure is so good because there are many class room in our university and all class room is so big .In our campus there are 36 dipartment library and on centre library for all students.
