There is no point in comparison with a state level college to that at a national level...though I agree that JITU is one among the good universities...and IIITS being a new college...which was started in the previous year..If you go through the cutoffs this year.. you can make out to which extent the university has set it's standards...and moreover...Other collages like IIIT kanchipuram which had their first placements the previous year or so..turned out to be really great ....so it doesn't matter much if the institute is a new institute...All that matters is the quality of education...All d we students of IIITS are proud and confident enough that our college soon would me one among the top universities!

For CSE branch JNTU Kakinada is best as the college is among the top colleges in the state and many top IT companies visit the college for campus placements and the infrastructure and the food canteen is great in the college also the teaching is highly professional so overall I would recommend you JNTU Kakinada college for pursuing CSE.

As per previous year cutoff, University College of Engineering, Kakinada - Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada closing rank for Mechanical Engineering last year was 6293 in BCD Caste.

If cutoff goes below then you have a chance to get this college. You have a few possibility that  you will get ME in this college.
