hello,firstly congratulations for an amazing rank 99,yes you can definetly get very good college . you dint mention your category but considering you as gen student ,you can get cse,ece,etc most of them chose cse as it is the top branch.but it is your choice depends on in what field you want to work,for sure you will get seat in jntu kakinada.

College Infrastructure

Yes, it's a good infrastructured college with good facilities and equipment. The facilities regarding sports are pretty competitive and hostels with wifi are available. They all are used and well maintained too. The living spaces are clean but the canteen food is not very hygenic, better to avoid it.

Academics

Nice. Like any state government college you are obliged to take care of your academics 100% by yourself. Though, the scenario is rapidly improving and a lot of new professors and staff are being hired from IITs .

Placements

The quality of placements is pretty neat. 70% students are placed in good companies. 6-7 lakhs per anum is the average salary package. Placement process is smooth and college is quite supportive. The highest package offered was 23 lakhs per anum.

You cannot be able to get a seat through management quota in government institutes like Jntu's etc .You can only get a seat when meet the cutoff's .

JNTU kakinada is one of the top colleges in andhra pradesh, so inorder to get a seat in cse group in that college, you need to get a good rank and it also depends on the category which you are from.

If you belong to open category then you need to get a rank 1000 to get cse.

For other categories you may get cse if you score below 4000.

As per the information I know, mobile phones are not allowed.

It also depends on the faculty teaching you. Still some students manage to break the rules. Management there is strict and mobile phone usage is strictly prohibited but it secretly used.

If teachers are not strict enough you are allowed to use them openly too.

And some are strictly against that they snatch and handover to higher authorities. But you can manage sometimes if you have any urgent call.

Overall it's not that much strictness also you are mature enough to understand and work accordingly.

So be aware, and handle with care.

Kindly mention your category for the same, but as you haven't mentioned it let me tell you in general for every category. So If you belong to general category you must score below 1000 in EAMCET, for OBC<3000 and for SC/ST <7000 to secure an seat in JNTUK.
