Hello,
Both of the colleges mentioned by you are private colleges. Bith of the colleges have good reputation in the country.
But thapar is a very old University and has his legacy proven. It ranks under top 10 private colleges in India in engineering.
Thapar has great placements in CS feild and average package is around 10-12 lakhs with almost all students placed.
Whereas, jiit noida has also good placements but the average package here is 4-5 lakh is CS branch.
I would prefer Thapar over JIIT.
Under the 4 year bachelor of technology category, you can get into Electronics and Communication Engineering with a cutoff of about 96k last year
And in the 5 year integrated course the cutoffs were
Computer Science and Engineering | 90480 |
Electronics and Communication Engineering | 170406 |
all the best
Hello Aspirant,
For CSE, Jaypee institute of Information Technology , Noida will be a better option. It has slightly better placements and infrastructure . It is one of the best engineering colleges in India. The plus point iof Galgotias university is that it has lower fees. Galgotias is a state university whereas Jaypee is a Deemed one. All the best!
Hello
Yes it is worth to do Integrated ECE from Jaypee Noida. Since the faculty is good as well as the placement packages are alse too good, but you should have to be great at coding. If you want job at core companies then you must join a much better college since core companies visit a very few good private colleges.
For 2019 batch the highest package offered was 40Lpa
Whereas the median package is around 4Lpa.
Hope that helps you.
Nandini,
To get a rank of 2.4Lacs percentile required was 89 and so i can see your rank is below 2.4L. In that case you can't get JIIT.
As cut off for various branches in JIIT was
Biotechnology 660730
Computer Science and Engineering 51072
Electronics and Communication Engineering 96233
Information Technology 54986
But you can get colleges like Chandigarh University, Sharda University, Chitkara University.
Tanish,
According to your percentile I think your rank is around 55K .
Last year cut off for different branches in JIIT
5-Year Integrated M.Tech. Course
Computer Science and Engineering 90480
Electronics and Communication Engineering 170406
4 YEAR
Biotechnology 660730
Computer Science and Engineering 51072
Electronics and Communication Engineering 96233
Information Technology 54986
So as you can see you can get any branch except cse in JIIT.
Nandini,
There's no obc quota in Jaypee noida.
The previous year cut off for different branches for general category is
Biotechnology 660730
Computer Science and Engineering 51072
Electronics and Communication Engineering 96233
Information Technology 54986
5-Year Integrated M.Tech. Course
Computer Science and Engineering 90480
Electronics and Communication Engineering 170406
If your AIR is good or better than closing ranks then you can get JIIT.
Hope it helps
Ayushi,
To get jaypee noida cse you need a rank of around 50K in jee mains. If your rank is 50K+ then it is difficult to get admission there.
Assuming you can get jaypee noida then i would say Jaypee Noida is a good college no doubt... Plenty of companies visit their campus like Google, Microsoft, Flipkart, AmazonEpic System and other tech giants and mass recruiters like TCS wipro. Last year stats show that avg package at Jaypee noida main bramch was above 7lacs. Which is good.
If you want to drop you can but taking a drop will add a huge amoount of pressure on you. Taking into consideration this year rank vs marks no score is safe except above 260 and it requires daily labor in addition to dedication and focused mind. I know some guys who got 220 marks and got 21K rank and that rank won't fetch you a great nit. And if we talk about jee advanced it's much harder than mains.
I can't pass a judgement... But I think if you are not that type of guy whi can study for 10 -14 hrs a day you should not drop a year and you should take jaypee noida cse.
