Whereas JEE Main is an entrance examination for admission to B.Tech in NITs/IIITs/GFTIs. You can appear for GATE when you are in pre-final year/final year/passed in Engineering in relevant field from a recognized board. You have to qualify in GATE and score decent marks in order to get seat in MANIT, Bhopal if you wish to get admission in PG course.

Yes there are chances for you to get a seat in manit,bhopal but it vary with different courses as you mentioned you're a general category it is difficult for you to get courses like cse because the cutoff is very high.
