It is better to choose Electronic Instrumentation Engineering at NIT Agartala than Electronic Communication Engineering from NERIST. As Electronic Instrumentation Engineering is advanced course in Engineering, and also the college provides good education, placement facilities to the students.

Hi. Lets see the colleges individually:

NIT SILCHAR

The median salary for BTech here is Rs 6.27 lakhs. The average placement for IT sector placement are good but core people suffer and mostly they try go for the IT sector. In IT sector placement are 90% and in core 70%. The average salary in IT is about 7 lac and for core it is 5 lac.

Recruiters : Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Directi, TCS , Sony,etc.

NIT AGARTALA

The median salary for BTech here is Rs 5.50 lakhs. For branches like CSE, placement is very good i.e. almost 9 lakhs average and 30 lakhs plus highest in past years. For Mechanical and Electrical branches average placement is 6 lakhs approx. For Electronics and Communication Engineering placement is 100% of eligible candidates.

Recruiters - Google, HCL, Vedanta, Cognizant, Reliance, WIPRO,etc.

If you wish to participate in subsequent rounds of up gradation, you can do so even after get a seat. There after, two possibilities are there:

1. You will get your preferred college of choice and you will then be upgraded. You fees will be adjusted accordingly and your documents will also be transferred.

2. If unfortunately you do not get a college, the seat in your previous institute will be there

If you are interested in a career in research, integrated M.Sc. in Physics at NIT Rourkela might prove to be a very good choice. NIT Rourkela is one of the best old technical Institutes of India with excellent infrastructure, faculty and research facilities. As far as the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Departmenrs are concerned most of the students prepare for GRE and GATE and move abroad or to higher technical insititutes like Top IITs and IISc Bangalore for their Doctoral Education.

However you should not expect placements from Physics Department in professional research sector. Most of the Companies like Log9Materials, Intel, TCS Innovation demand a doctoral degree.

There are a couple of Technical Institutions and Coaching Organizations like FIITJEE, Byjus, Vedantu and Sri Chaitanya which recruit M.Sc. Graduates but they are less preferred opportunities.

Of course you can develop new skills and master new technologies like AI, Software and Data Science and NIT Rourkela being an Old Insititute you may find a sea of opportunities from Amazon and PayTM to Flipkart and Honeywell in the Non Core Sector ranging from Software to Management.

But not to worry because after nits their are more good colleges which are available for you and you have  good chances to get them.
Which are as follows-
1. RGPV Bhopal in Computer science engineering
2. RGPV Bhopal in civil engineering
3. Pillai college of engineering in civil engineering
4. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of technology Mumbai in mechanical engineering
5. DY patil college of engineering in in Computer science engineering.

Dear Candidate,

1) NIT Agartala : This college is good in both placement records and infrastructure .

The highest salary package of last year was around 36 LPA and the average salary package is around 5 LPA. Various companies visit this college like Infosys, Axis Bank, Verse, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, Samsung, IBM etc.

2) Nit Silchar : This college is also good in terms of placements and infrastructure.

The percentage placement for last year is above 90% . The highest salary package offered is 23 LPA whereas the average salary package offered is 7.8 LPA. Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, TCS are the top recruiting companies.

So obviously NIT Agartala is better for placements and also it is in CSE branch.

Naveenv495 , From some research on internet about both the colleges I found that both the colleges are almost same infrastructure and placement but the fees is more at NIT but it is also a better college so if you have no issue with fees then go for NIT.

Hi aspirant , if you have 94.55 percentile than most probaby youe rank will be in a range of 35K- 60K, ao on behalf of this lwt me tell you that you can easily get any branch in National Institute of Technology, Agartala fot sure. One thing that if uou would any more good college than NIT, Agartala than you should definitely go with that.Ok!

Hello aspirant, as you mentioned that percentile in JEE mains 2020 is 94.55. I am assuming you belong to general category as you have not specified it.

According to the previous year's cutoff trend you don't have a chance of getting into the colleges you have mentioned. Unfortunately, these are colleges won't be available for you.

Both the colleges are good as per infrastructure and facilities. ECE is good at both the colleges. But I am differing them on the basis of placements in ECE branch.

Nit Agartla: Infosys, IBM, Amazon, Tata Motors, Capgemini, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra these are top recruiters. Highest package for last year was around 17.5 lakhs whereas average salary package is nearly 5.5 lakhs per annum.

NIT Patna : Highest package for last year was around 15 lakhs whereas the average salary package ranges between 3-4 lakhs per annum.
