About NIT Agartala
National Institute of Technology Agartala (NIT Agartala) was established in 1965 as Tripura Engineering College. The institute is now affiliated to Tripura University. It was initially affiliated to Calcutta University. The National Institute of Technology was established under the Central Government with a Deemed to be University status. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). NIT Agartala courses include undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes related to different subjects.
NIT Agartala is located 4 km away from National Highway (NH-44) and about 20 km away from the capital city. The nearest railway station to the institute campus is the Agartala Railway Station which is located 2 km away from the campus. Students can take an auto from the station and reach the campus. There are several airlines connecting to Agartala from Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati and Mumbai directly. Students coming by flight can take a taxi from Agartala Airport to reach the NITA campus. Other sumo or bus services are also available from the airport to the institute campus.

National Institute of Technology Agartala Admission Procedure:-
NIT Agartala admissions are provided for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. NIT Agartala admissions to B.Tech/B.E programmes are offered on the basis of scores Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) and candidates qualifying JEE Main will further have to register with the Joint Seat Allocation Authority for JoSAA counselling for participation in the choice filling, choice locking and seat allotment. Admissions to M.Tech/ME programmes are offered on the basis of GATE scores followed by participation in CCMT counselling process ( CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan). Admissions to M.Sc programmes are offered by National Institute of Technology Agartala on the basis of JAM followed by participation in the JAM counselling process. For admissions to MBA programmes, candidates have to qualify CAT and further, they will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Admissions to the MCA programme are offered by NIT Agartala on the basis of NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) followed by participation in the counselling process for choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment. Admissions to PhD programmes are offered on the basis of a written test conducted by the respective departments of National Institute of Technology Agartala followed by an interview related to their research area. NIT Agartala Admission Procedure for B.Tech/B.E programmes-
Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech/B.E programmes, have to appear and qualify JEE Main.
Based on their scores in JEE Main, candidates have to register for JoSAA counselling on the official website of JoSAA along with necessary documents and payment of fees.
Candidates need to choose NIT Agartala as the preferred college while doing the choice locking.
Candidates are offered NIT Agartala admissions to B.Tech/BE programmes based on JoSAA registration, participation in counselling, choice filling, choice locking, document verification and fee payment.
NIT Agartala Admission Procedure for M.Tech/ME programmes-
Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech/ME programmes need to appear and qualify GATE
Based on their GATE scores, students can proceed for CCMT counselling that is conducted to admit students to M.Tech/M.E programmes.
Candidates need to register themselves for CCMT counselling by providing GATE credentials, qualifying degrees certificates, personal details etc. and by paying the requisite registration fees.
Candidates will have to select NIT Agartala as their first preference while doing the choice locking.

Non-Gate students can also apply for admissions by qualifying a written/oral test conducted by the authority based on the vacancies left.

My experience in this college is very pleasent .
NIT Agartala Facilities
NIT Agartala has several facilities and amenities such as hostels, wifi, virtual classrooms, central library, central computing centre, lab, seminar hall, student activity centre, banking & post office, health care, transportation, supercomputing facility, centre of innovation etc. which are provided for students and faculty members of the campus. Students and staff are allowed to use all the facilities under the rules and regulations of the authority which are mentioned below.
Hostel- The Institute campus is provided with six boys hostel and 2 girls hostels separately. Students will be allotted hostels based on the availability of rooms. Students have to fill the admission forms and pay the required fees to get allotment to hostel rooms
Health care- The Health care unit of NIT Agartala is provided trained and professional medical officers to look after the medical treatment of students and staff. Any kind of medical treatment of students and staff is taken care of by the institute.
Transportation- All students and staff are provided with private bus services from Agartala to Institute campus. All students are mandatorily asked to use the bus services of the institute.
WiFi- NIT Agartala campus is provided with WiFi and internet facility to meet the needs of students and staff.
Virtual Classrooms- The classrooms of National Institute of Technology Agartala are well equipped with modern audio and video facilities for students to provide them with efficient learning and advanced technology.
Central Library- Central Library has a collection of about 1 lakh volumes and 300 periodicals including textbooks, journals, conference proceedings, CDROMs, audiotapes, videotapes and several e-books etc which provides information to students.
Central Computing Centre- The Central Computing Centre is the main resource which manages the coordination of inter-connections of overall computer facilities inside the whole institute.
Lab- There are 100+ different labs constructed for different departments for practical studies. All the labs are built with advanced technology and equipment to meet the needs of students.
Seminar Hall- All the seminars and conferences of the NIT Agartala are conducted inside the seminar hall which has a sufficient number of seating arrangements to accommodate the students.
Student Activity Centre- All student activities inside NIT Agartala campus is conducted under the Students Activity Centre.
Super-computing Facility- The super-computing facility PARAM involves modernised methods for research which is an added advantage in this generation of advancing technology. NITA is the second institute in the north-east after IIT Guwahati to have this facility.
Centre of Innovation- Centre of Innovation is a platform which enables job opportunities, startup incubation, and engagement in projects etc.

Look every school colleges are not open till now. Some of open for few days but it's remain closed again. So it's still close the NIT Agartala. When it's open again government will notify everyone don't worry. It's totally depends on covid situation. I hope everything will be normal soon.

NIT Agartala when does start regular classes Approximately
As of the latest updates regarding re-opening of schools and colleges in Tripura, Tripura Government did announce that after the resumption of classes 9th to 12th classes 5th to 8th will also be started in physical form from January 4th 2021 with all safety protocols but no decision has been taken regarding the classes of Higher Educational Institution. As of now the classes in NIT Agartala are conducted through online medium and the session for first semester has been started from December 4th 2020.
It is known that all classes were suspended in physical mode since mid March '20 due to the nationwide lockdown because of global pandemic named COVID-19. But now it is controlling and so many health experts are involved in treatment of this so now the circumstances are becoming favorable and the physical classes for NIT Agartala and other Higher Educational Institutions might get started soon.

In nit agartala, you have to give Rs. 78900 at the time of admission, and if paid the seat acceptance as well as partial admission fees in josaa or csab then you have to the rest of the remaining amount at the time of admission.
The tuition fess of nit agartala is - Rs. 62500
The total fees of 2nd semester is Rs. 71200. After that the total fees for 3rd semester and 5th semester is Rs. 68400.
The total fees for 4th and 6th semester is Rs. 67200.
And in the final year, i.e, in 7th semester the total fees is Rs. 69400 and for 8th semester it is Rs. 69650.
Now, the hostel fees for nit agartala is as follows :-
Hostel admission fees - Rs. 500
Hostel caution money ( refundable ) - Rs. 5000
Hostel rent ( per semester ) - Rs. 2500
Mess fees ( per semester ) - Rs. 17500.
So, every semester you have to give a total fees of Rs. 25500 as hostel + mess charges.

No, there is no need of print out of your choices filled for JOSAA or CSAB Counselling, at reporting center. instead you have to take other document for verification such as seat allotment letter, marksheets of class 10th and 12th, caste certificate(if applicable), score card of JEE-Main and some others
