congrats on your score first of all. Though as per this rank it could be very difficult for you to get a seat in nit Patna. Still as per the last year cutoffs you can get into the college as the cutoffs for the round 7 of josaa counselling was
835-1205 (for ews candidate with Bihar as the home state) last year. But the cutoffs are highly volatile and changes every year due to various reasons hence it's imperative for you to apply for many colleges in the councelling and can even predict the college you can get as per your rank beforehand

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category. however there is separate cutoff available as per home state quota and all india quota.

Architecture at NIT Patna closes at around 1200 rank for EWS category under Home state quota.So chances of getting admission with 5171 EWS rank are quite low.If it is your general rank, then you can definitely get Barch at NIT Patna.

At this rank you would hardly get Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering branch as the cutoff closes under AIR 50,000 only.. You can go for state level or private colleges.

For this rank you will not get (home state quota) into NIT Patna or in case any government college
