Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna provides admission to B.Tech, BS, M.Tech, M.Sc, and PhD programmes. IIT Patna admissions are done based on entrance exams. IIT Patna Counselling 2024

Once the JEE Advanced 2024 results are announced on June 09, 2024, then the candidates have to register for JoSAA Counselling which will commence from June 10, 2024. During the counselling registration, Candidates have to select the IIT Patna as the preferred institute to get into it.

For IIT Patna M.Tech admission, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria.
Next, candidates have to secure a valid score in GATE.
Then the GATE result is declared and candidates are required to meet the qualifying GATE cut-off.
The GATE counselling and admission process for IIT Patna is done by COAP.
Shortlisting of candidates for IIT Patna admissions is based on academic background and GATE score.

Academics

The curriculum of IITs is outdated and old; they are still teaching engineering drawing and not AUTOCAD. However, the professors are very helpful, all holding Ph.D. degrees from different IITs and universities abroad. Some course content is industry suitable, but some parts of it seem to be in vain. The exams are not so tough, yet not so easy either.

You haven't mentioned the course in which you want admission in IIT Patna. The admission to various courses is different. Students seeking admission to undergraduate engineering courses have to JEE main and JEE advanced and after that they have to register with JOSAA for counseling.

And students seeking admission in post-graduate engineering courses have to secure a valid score in GATE and then register with COAP.

I have performed bad in Mathematics Board Exam but my overall percentage is around 80%, will I still be able to get into an IIT? P.S. The reason I perform this bad is due to Covid Virus so please be generous.

To be honest, 80 is an amazing score but it does not guarantee your seat into IITs. For getting into an IIT, you need to score good in JEE mains and advance. Admissions into IITs is only based on that. All the best !
