In order to get admission in NIT Patna, you need to qualify JEE Mains. Without qualifying this exam you can't get admission in NIT Patna. You can give JEE Mains in 2019. You will get 2 chances to write JEE Mains.

Here is the opening and closing branches for various branches in NIT Patna in 2017 for the home state category for the ST Category. Considering this you do not seem to have any chances for NIT Patna.

There are many reasons for it.

First it might be the case that the cut off rank is above your rank.
Else if cutoff is lower than your rank it might be the case that you might have got some other college because of the preference order you filled and

Admission in NIT's are totally based on Jee Mains marks so to get admission in NIT Patna you have to clear jee main

My youngest brother got rank 3165 in EBC Catgeory . can he a chance to admin in NIT PATNA or MIT college?

Well, there is little hope and can't assure you about that too so for further clarification regarding the cutoff refer to JOSAA website to check for previous year closing rank for the various institutions. For MIT please clarify which one...!

When was IT branch in NIT,Patna included in its course list??

Hey Ravi Kumar,

IT branch was included in the course list of NIT Patna since 2014.

Its been moving towards four years of successful completion and many more to go.

How much approx rank isneeded for admonition in nit patna

Respected Sir,

You need a minimum of 25000-30000 rank to get any course in NIT Patna if belonging to Home state quota with Civil available for upto 30K rank.

In other state Quota, you need atleast 27K rank. Civil is available at 27K rank.

College Infrastructure

Overall good infrastructure. The road connecting to the college from boys hostel needs improvement and overall good campus and there were nice canteens,libraries and necessary equipments were also available for the students.

Giving a review to my college is quite a good experience

College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is very bad. The bricks that were attached to the walls of the college were not fixed properly. We have the classrooms with projectors,but we haven't seen the professors using those to teach us.We don't have smart boards. We have a good Library with a plenty of books.They are only useful for academics ,but not for other purposes like preparing for govt. jobs... We've a small ground in which we can't play football and cricket at a time.(that small it is....) we've good laboraties with all equipment. In our hostel we have wifi facilities(only ethernet but not internet). Living spaces are not clean and the food is not hygienic.(once we questioned mess incharge.He replied-"We Bihari's prefer quantity over quality."
