TEACHERS ARE WELL EDUCATED AND HAVE PhDs. THEY HELP YOU IF YOU ASK THEM FOR GUIDANCE . HOWEVER THE TEACHING IS MOSTLY BASED ON TEXT -BOOKS AND LECTURES. WE DO NOT GET MUCH PRACTRICAL OR INDUSTRY READY TRAINING IN THE LABS , WHICH NEEDS TO IMPROVE.
College Infra
THE COLLEGE IS CURRENTLY GETTING A LOT OF NEW BUILDINGS AND NICE HOSTELS .BUT FOR BIOTECHNOLOGY , THE LABS ARE JUST AVERAGE .WE HAVE BASIC TOOLS FOR EXPERIMENTS ,BUT ADVANCED MACHINES ARE MISSING.THE LIBRARY IS BIG AND THE CAMPUS HAS DECENT WIFI.
Campus Life
THE 100-ACRE CAMPUS IS GREEN AND BEAUTIFUL . THE ANNUAL FEST XTAXY AND DIFFERENT STUDENT CLUBS MAKE LIFE FUN. HOWEVER , THE COLLEGE IS STRICT ABOUT 75% ATTENDANCE , SO YOU HAVE TO BALANCE YOUR STUDIES AND FUN CARE FULLY .
Placements
DO NOT EXPECT BIG BIOTECHNOLOGY COMPANIES TO COME HERE. ONLY A FEW COME , OFFERING A LOW SALARIES OF 3 TO 5 LAKHS PER YEAR . BUT THE GOOD PART IS THTA IT COMPANIES LIKE TCS AND ACCENTURE ALLOW BIOTECH STUDENTS TO SIT FOR INTERVIEWS.
Value For Money
THIS IS THE BEST PART OF OUTR.SINCE IT IS A GOVERNMENT UNIVERSITY, THE FEES ARE VERY LOW COMPARED TO PRIVATE COLLEGES. IF YOU GET A JOB OR CLEAR EXAMS FOR HIGHER STUDIES , YOU GET A GREAT RETUEN ON THE SMALL AMOUNT YOU SPENT.

It provides a wide variety of courses including Btech,Mtech,BPlan,BArch,Msc etc to name a few.The curriculum is regularly updated with focus on emerging technologies and practical learning supported by experienced faculty.
College Infra
The campus is spread across 100 acres of land with multiple departmental blocks and fully equipped labs.There is 24x7 Wi-Fi connectivity in the campus,the hostels are decent and the mess food is hygenic.
Campus Life
The campus life is lively with various clubs,cultural and technical fests that add life to the campus.The annual cultural fest XTASY is one of the biggest fests at OUTR and is celebrated in a grand manner each year.The overall experience is great as it balances academics with extracurriculars.
Placements
The placements at the college are decent with most students securing diverse job offers from multiple sectors.The number of reputed companies visiting the company keep increasing year by year due to the dedicated efforts and strong commitment of the placement team.
Value For Money
The experience is value for money as the college provides experienced faculty,a strong alumni base and industry linkages that help facilitate placements.The tuition fees is reasonable and the overall ROI is great.

Academics
I've completed my B Tech in ME here. The professors know well of there subjects and the syllabus is also up to date. Now, specialisations like AI/ ML and Mechatronics are also added in Mechanical Engineering stream.
College Infra
The college is equipped with advanced machines and laboratories but the buildings aren't maintained. It looks like old and plaster coming out. The main gate of the college is missing since 3 years now. Sports like cricket, football, basketball, badminton and kho kho are encouraged. Campus is surrounded with high speed WiFi..The academic blocs are clean but the hostels aren't. Food is unhygienic.
Campus Life
Campus Life is good. Techfest (Perception) and Cultural fest (Xtasy) are the annual fests. Other than this, the campus hosts Engineers cup for sports. Zarzuela and other college events happen on monthly. Teachers are very supportive and ready to listen to any issue.
Placements
Being located at the capital city, the college attracts companies from different fields. IT companies like TCS, Cisco, Accenture. Consultancy like Deloitte. In core, L&T, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Power, Adani, Apollo tyres, Reliance, JK Paper also came. Avg salary for the year 2023 was 6lpa+, however latest placement statistics can always be looked on the college's official website. It also supports in summer internship in govt sectors.
Value For Money
There are 2 types of programmes. Govt sponsored and self sustained. Mostly core branches were govt sponsored, so our entire B Tech was completed within 1.5lacs. For self sustained programs like CSE, it was almost double, but still worth it.
