Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering is four years (8 Semester) full-time undergraduate engineering program offered by Presidency University, Bangalore.

The Petroleum Engineering Department in Presidency University is dedicated to the teaching and research in both upstream and downstream areas of Petroleum Engineering. The department offers the first degree programme with the modular structure and various flexibilities, including Electives, Industrial Practice components etc. The curriculum provides broad-based foundation to the Undergraduates. Students enhance their conceptual knowledge and skills of engineering in exploration, drilling, reservoir, production, surface operations and management courses under the guidance of experienced faculty. The students have a scope of learning various courses which are useful in research and thereby can pursue higher education as well as have a probability in joining Research and Development (R & D) sectors of the industry.

Eligibility Criteria

Pre-University / Higher Secondary /10+2 examination Pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category) in the above subjects taken together.
In case of SC/ST, Category -1 and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category students from Karnataka (Karnataka candidates) the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40 %.

Admission Details

Appeared for JEE (Main), JEE (Advanced), Karnataka CET, COMED-K, PUEET or any other State-level Engineering Entrance Examination.
Candidates are required to appear for the Presidency University Bangalore evaluation test in addition to standard eligibility criteria.
Candidates are also required to appear for the Personal Interview process

College Infrastructure

yes we have all the facilities with good infrastructure,we have smartboards in our classroom with wifi and a table and chair,in laboratories we have good equipments with neat and clean,we have a big library with many number of books and we can gain more knowledge,in sports centre many of sports will be played for eg cricket,football,basketball etc,hostels are well maintained with all the facilities which will be safe and secure for student,yes everything is clean and food is also hygienic.
