Course Overview
City and Metropolitan Planning online course is imparted with an objective to provide the students with the knowledge that is related to planning in urban settlement. The programme will provide the students with a fair understanding of the typology, scale, complexity and hierarchy involved in the framing of policies in an Indian city. The fifteen week course will be focusing on architecture and planning simultaneously.
The City and Metropolitan Planning certification syllabus includes the vast area of - definition and characteristics of urban areas, city in context of the region, urbanization, hierarchy of plans, plans and policies among many other topics that will ultimately help the students in implementing their plans. Certification Qualification Details
The programme is 100% free of cost to learn and pursue. However, to avail of the City and Metropolitan Planning certification of completion from Swayam, candidates have to register for a final proctored exam by paying a specific fee amount. Once the payment is made, they will be allotted an exam center wherein they have to appear for this exam. After successfully clearing this exam and completing the programme, they will be awarded the four credits course certificates.

Step 3: After clicking, the candidate is requested to sign in or create an account on the Swayam portal.
Step 4: Once it is successfully created or an existing user logs in, candidates will immediately get access to the course. Since the course is free of cost, the candidates need not pay any amount.
Step 5: Participants are now a part of the programme.
