Hi Suraj, the selection process in SASTRA has two streams. If you are applying with your JEE and State Board marks then you will come under stream 1.
The scores of JEE Main will carry 25% weightage and 10+2 scores will carry 75% weightage.
The combined scores (0.25*JEE Mark and 0.75*State board)will be used to prepare the rank list.
70% of seats will be filled under stream 1.
Based upon your rank , seats will be allocated
Hello Aspirant,
Yes you have high chance to secure a seat at SASTRA University. In SASTRA the admission is based on2 streams
Stream 1:Both JEE MAIN percentile and 12th percentage are considered.(for filling of 70%of seats)
Stream 2: 12th board aggregate or equivalent marks.(for filling of 30% of seats)
You can apply through stream 1.
You have an excellent GPA and percentile. The SASTRA rank will be calculated based on these parameters and you will be called for counselling based on your merit.
25% weightage is given to JEE main percentile and remaining 75% weightage is given to 12th board marks.
For you your GPA will be considered instead of percentage.

Hello Ranjitha,
I think you do have very good chances of getting a seat in SASTRA university. SASTRA marks is calculated based on( for stream 1) (0.75*boards percentile)+(0.25*mains percentile). Going by these calcualtions , I think you can get a good rank and will be called up earlier.

Hello!Ashwini Raddekar
Seeing your score and previous year cuttoff of JEE MAINS for NITs,IIITs or GFTIs.You seems to have very less chance of getting any government engineering under open category. You are qualified so do well in JEE ADVANCE examination.
GOOD LUCK!
Hi Aspirant,
If you get qualified in mains then your Sastra AIR rank will be considered by taking 25% marks from mains and 75% marks from 12th and calculating it out of 165. This year still AIR ranks are not officially declared there is a lot of competition so we can't predict your rank so please wait till the results are announced.
All the best.
Thank you.
Sasta University gives admission based in the rank a student get in the merit list, the university releases. You sasta rank would be calculated on the basis of jee mains and 12 board aggregate, the candidate needs to excel in both to get top branches in the University.
By looking at your jee main score and board percentage I can tell that you can easily get admission in the University and that too into core branches.
Thank you.
Hope it helps.
Wao your marks is very good and you have score well in Jee.
For SASTRA university aerospace may be the course which you can get seat. Ece is highly 8n demand course which everyone wants to opt. Rather than going with crowd you make a turn and take aeropace. Job opportunities is good in aerospace engineering with recent developments in this field.
Dear Akhileshwar,
The admission in Sastra University will be on the basis of two streams-
Stream 1:
JEE Main 2019 and normalized 10+2 scores will be taken together for admission under stream 1
The scores of JEE Main will carry 25% weightage and 10+2 scores will carry 75% weightage.
The combined scores will be used to prepare the rank list and candidates will be invited for admission on the basis of the rank list.
70% of seats will be filled under stream 1.
Stream 2:
Candidates will be considered for admission based on their normalised aggregate 10+2 or any equivalent exam scores.
30% of seats will be filled under stream 2.
By this, we can say that If you will get good JEE main rank then only you'll be eligible to enter into Sastra
If you have calculated like this then 90+ score has a good chance to secure a seat in Sastra University.
hope you get an invitation from Sastra University soon.
I really like this colleges based on placement based on my optionion you can join our college. Little bit strict but that’s Okk. In our college infrastructure is better I’m currently doing my Bsc degree in sastra university
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
laboratories for bio tech and other related departments are very good and high tech here. Hostels are non ac full vegetarian, managable. wifi is 24/7 available. the environment is good for studying here.
