Hello Aspirant,
Yes you have good chances for getting Mech/ECE at SASTRA University. You have an excellent GPA and a decent percentile. So you may very apply for it.The SASTRA rank will be calculated and you will be called for counselling based on the order of your merit.
In SASTRA the admissions for BTech are based on two streams.
Stream 1: 70% of seats are filled based on JEE main 2019 percentile and 12th marks
The weightage for JEE main will be 25% and 12th marks will be 75%, both will be combined and the resultant aggregate mark will be calculated(SASTRA rank).
Stream 2: 30% of seats based on 12th marks.
The students will be admitted based on their normaised 12th aggregate or equivalent marks.
A merit list is drawn in order to fill the 30% of seats.
Stream 1 and 2 will be merged after the 2nd counselling and the vaccant seats will be filled based on merit.

Hello Aassha,
To get admission in SASTRA University you have two criterias:
First one has 70% of seats and the Second has 30% of seats.
They prepare their own meritlist on the basis of 2 criterias:
1. In First crieteria they will consider both JEE Mains and Intemediate board percentage.
Admissions are given by taking 25% weightage of JEE mains and 75% of Intermediate board.
2. In Second criteria it includes admission on the basis of Intermediate board marks only. But it has only 30% of seats , so for this criteria u should have more than 95 percentage to get the seat as in this criteria the competition will be high.
Hey poojith!
Yes! You have a chance of getting seat in sastra University. But getting CSE/ECE in thanjavur is bit diificult since there will be lot of applicants applying for it. And there will be lot of students from AP who have good IPE score will be applying for it. You will be getting other branches.
Good luck!
Hey!
The JEE score is too low to help you in Stream 1.
On the other hand, though you have a nice Board exam score, it isn't sufficient to get a seat in the core departments(CSE, ECE, IT, EEE, etc) as there are lots and lots of people getting above 98% in their IPE(Andhra and Telangana board) scores. But you can try for other courses at SASTRA (B. Tech courses, Biotech, Bioinformatics, etc) through Stream2.
Fee structure for B.Tech courses in sastra would be as follows
Year 1 - ₹1,47,000
Year 2 – ₹1,31,000
Year 3 – ₹1,31,000
Year 4 - ₹1,31,000
Good luck!

Hi diwaan,
It's just ranks no specific cut offs. If you are from TN you need to be within 700 ranks to make sure that everything is available for you in stream 1.
As far as stream 2 you need to score above 97% to get a core group but finally it's based on rank.
ALL THE BEST!!
hello javvaji bharath
yes it is possible to get admission through jee mains and sastra university has its own procedure through stream 1 and stream 2.the university calculates like this (0.25*mains score)+(0.75*12th score)=will be sastra rank and based on this you will be given admission.
I really like this colleges based on placement based on my optionion you can join our college. Little bit strict but that’s Okk. In our college infrastructure is better I’m currently doing my Bsc degree in sastra university
My experience with this college is a mixed one ..The infrastructure of the university is good and is the most remarkable for the computing programs The research facilities here are top notch with fully equipped Labs and great professors (not all but a few ones are very experienced and influential in their field..other buildings are average and there is a wifi facility available 24/7 for laptops..no cycle is available ..The food is good..but everything has its bad days too..the form is quite clean
laboratories for bio tech and other related departments are very good and high tech here. Hostels are non ac full vegetarian, managable. wifi is 24/7 available. the environment is good for studying here.
