Sharda University Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The university has three boys hostels - Jawahar Boys Hostel, Vivekanand Boys Hostel, Tagore Boys Hostel and Mandela Boys Hostel. The rooms of all the four hostels are spacious and offer a comfortable stay to the students. Basic facilities like wifi, ATM, medical services, mess etc. are available at boys hostels.

Sharda University has separate hostels for girls students. Kasturba Girls Hostel, Sarojini Girls Hostel, Indra Girls Hostel, Mother Teresa Girls Hostel and Mandela Girls Hostel are the girls hostels present at the campus. All the five hostels have separate mess, wifi, ATM and various other facilities for students.

A 900+ bed hospital along with all the latest technology and equipment is present at the varsity campus. The hospital has medical facilities such as general medicine, ICU, trauma centre, 3 tesla MRI, CT scan, ECG, X-Ray and laboratory investigation. All the students of the university are also offered medical insurance. For emergencies, ambulances are also available.

A well established and maintained gym is there at the campus for students, faculty and staff members to use. The gym has professional trainers to guide the students in their workout. Sharda University gym is divided into two sections i.e. one for body weight training and one for weight training.

The varsity has one central library and 8 council libraries. All the libraries are well stocked with books, journals, reports, magazines etc. for reference for students and faculty members. The libraries have digital resources for students and have wifi connectivity as well.

Facilities for sports like cricket, football, badminton, basketball, volleyball, table tennis etc. are provided by the university to students. Annual sports day is conducted at the campus to promote and encourage students to participate in sports.

The university provides robust and modern IT infrastructure to students. Apart from wifi available at the entire campus, the varsity learning management system allows students to discuss via online mode and also they can submit their assignments online. The digital library of Sharda University allows students to access resource materials conveniently.

The university has 10 cafeterias and other eatery junctions located in different locations at the campus. Special attention is given to hygiene and nutritional value of food at cafeterias. Numerous renowned food brands like Amul, Nescafe, Cafe Coffee Day etc. have opened their food outlet in the campus.

Sharda University has multiple auditoriums and seminar rooms. Both auditoriums and seminar rooms are equipped with the latest audiovisual equipment. All the events of the university like seminars, workshops, guest lectures etc. are conducted at the auditorium or seminar hall.

The varsity provides transportation facilities to students, staff and faculty members within a radius of 90 km. The university buses commute to and fro from various areas of Delhi NCR to university campus. All the buses are deluxe and can accommodate a large number of students.

The entire campus of Sharda University has wifi connectivity. Students and faculty members can access the internet in hostels, playgrounds, libraries and the rest of the campus.

Sharda University has department based laboratories. The modern labs of the varsity allow students to perform practicals of what they have learnt in classrooms. It also helps them in conducting research and experiments.

The classrooms of the university are modern and equipped with the latest technology. All the classrooms have LCD projectors and sound systems. The lecture halls of the varsity can accommodate over 200 students. Modern and digital technology is used in teaching at the varsity.
