Silicon University, Bhubaneswar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has two boys hostels. There are 145 rooms in one hostel and 212 rooms in the second one. The combined accommodation capacity of both the hostels is around 770. Both AC and non-AC rooms are available at the hostels. Triple sharing rooms with wardrobes are available to the students. The boys hostels have basic medical facilities, gym, health club etc. The hostels are managed by the warden.

Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar has separate girls hostels at the campus. The girls hostel has 205 rooms and it can accommodate 615 students. At the girls hostel also, triple sharing rooms are provided and students can choose AC and non-AC rooms as per their convenience. The warden is the in-charge of the hostel. The girls hostel has all the basic amenities like a health club, gym etc. for students.

The institute provides medical facilities to students and staff members. A lady doctor visits the campus twice a week for the regular checkups of the students. The college also has an ambulance service for emergencies.

To promote fitness among students, the college has a well-equipped gym at the campus. The gym has the latest equipment for students.

Covering an area of 17000 square feet, the library has more than 60,000 books and ample numbers of national & international journals, newspapers. A separate reference section with over 5000 books is also there for students and faculty members. The library has two clubs - Scholars Club and Campus Connect. The members of the clubs can issue additional books. SIT Bhubaneswar library has a seating capacity of 216 people.

Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar has adequate sports facilities and infrastructure. The campus of the college has a basketball court, volleyball court, badminton court, football ground, cricket ground etc. Students can play any sports of their choice during their free time.

The college provides IT infrastructure to the students. All the labs of the college have modern equipment and updated systems.

The institute has two canteens i.e. one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian. The canteen serves breakfast, lunch and dinner to the students. The food and beverages offered are nutritious and hygienic.

The college provides transportation facilities to the students residing near the campus. Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar has six buses for transportation. Students and staff members can also hire buses for personal use at a reasonable cost.

A well-maintained alumni association is there at the campus. The alumni association helps in maintaining the connection with the alumni of the college. The Annual alumni meet is conducted by the alumni association.

The Computer Science Engineering Department of the college has 11 laboratories. Various other departments have dedicated laboratories. The Department of E&I, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication and Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities have individual laboratories as per the needs of the students. Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar labs have modern equipment and provide the best practical experiences to the students. The institute also has an English Language Laboratory for the development of the communication skills of the students.

To accommodate the guest or visiting faculty members, the college has guest rooms. The guest room offers a comfortable stay to the visiting faculty members.

A modern auditorium where seminars and workshops are held is present at the Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar campus.

There are a total of 40 classrooms at the campus. Out of 40 classrooms, 25% of classrooms have air conditioning facilities. To promote effective teaching and learning, the classrooms are equipped with audiovisual equipment.

SIT Bhubaneswar campus has wifi connectivity. The wifi is available in the entire campus right from hostels to the playgrounds.
