With the mentioned rank, you can get electrical engineering branch at Vellore campus in the second category. There is a mere probability that you may be shifted to third category till your rank comes.

The fee for second category is 307000 per annum and that of third category is 405000.

If you belong to general category then you must score minimum 54% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination, if you belong to SC/ST category or hailing from Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura then you must score minimum 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination to be eligible for admission. Assuming that you belong to general category you are not eligible for even if you have secured a decent rank. You must be eligible at the time of counselling to get admission, if you do not fulfill the eligibility criteria then you cannot get admission.

see cutoff score fluctuate every year and it depends on  certain factors like number of applicants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, choice of stream etc. however we have previous years data for vit vellore and vit chennai, but at this score you have no chances for computer science for any of the college.  vit bhopal is new Institute and has established on 2017, so it is expected that the cutoff score would lower for vit bhopal. however right now it is very difficult to predict about exact details and it also depends on number of applicants who would apply for cse at vit bhopal. however based on students review and demand of cse stream  it seems tough chances for you to secure a seat in cse department at this rank.

so my suggestion is apply for others colleges as well apart from vit.

Unfortunately, the closing rank for ECE in VIT Vellore is around 15,000, but you can try for Chennai campus. It is equally good as well since, in the end, all that matters are your skills.

After seeing your 74233rd rank in the VITEEE exam, I think you will get CSE (Specialisation in Information Security and Bioinformatics ) branch either in VIT Bhopal or VIT AP. If you are willing to take admission at VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai then it wouldn't be possible as your rank is far more than their cut-offs.

Manipal University and Vellore institute of technology are both private deemed university and are well known for their CSE courses. Both the university are considered as a lifeline and good options for those who could not get a seat of their choices in IIT's or NIT's.

Campus

Vellore institute of technology has a 350 acres campus with amazing infrastructure and a centered lake, the rules though here are very strict. Manipal University also has a 315 acres huge campus with beautiful infrastructure and a wonderful college life due to fewer restrictions and rules. Both have well furnished hostels, laboratory and huge library open to its students.

Academics

Vellore institute of technology has an edge on it as it has a fully flexible credit system which allows student to select their teachers and timing of classes. Faculties at both the colleges are good and most of them have done PhD in their subjects.

Hello aspirant, the tution for for category 1 for group A (civil, chemical, electrical etc. branches) is 1.78LPA with rs. 3000 caution money and for group B(CS, mechanical ,etc branches) the tution fees is 1.98LPA. The hostel fee is different for different beds and for AC or non-AC rooms. Mess fee for vegetarians is Rs.51500 and for non vegetarians it is Rs. 58200. The counselling process in Vellore institute of technology is a bit complex. In Phase 1, rank holders between 1-20000 are called where candidate is given chance to choose his/her prefered branch in order of their ranks.

Now if your prefered branch under first category is filled before your chance comes, then you can't opt for that branch under second category till the next phase. You can choose any other branches available or appear for next phase when scheduled.

Note- There can be a change in this format this year as candidates will be allowed to choose maximum 25 options of their preferences during choice filling.

Looking at the recent few years cutoffs trend of VIT Vellore, unfortunately, you could not make it to VIT Vellore CSE as the Computer science branch get closed around 7000 VITEEE ranks.

Still, if you are really interested to be in this college with any branch then you have few options of branches like Civil engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical engineering, Biomedical engineering and Biotechnology.
