Both colleges are very good in their respective segments. VIT is well known college so is the SRM and both have very good infrastructure, education and placement for IT students. SRM fee can be little bit high, and in SRM Only one of their campus is good than the other

Abhimanyu, VIT Vellore does give lateral entry. For eligibility, you must have passed diploma with minimum 45% score from relevant branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India council for technical education or Central or state approved institutes.
You must be of Indian nationality. You will be given admissions

College Infrastructure

VIT UNIVERSITY, BHOPAL infrastruture is very basic not good . It has everything hostels , academic blocks and they all the finely built . All over the campus greenery is there but not very good flowers they can do better .
