B.Tech Information Technology at Annai College of Engineering and Technology, Kumbakonam Offline Course

I. (10+2)/ HSC (Academic) or Equivalent

• A pass in (10+2) / HSC examination with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as subjects of study. Community-wise minimum aggregate (average of three subjects) is:

  OC Other Communities	50%
  BC Backward Class & BC (Muslims)	45%
  MBC/DNC Most Backward Class & Denotified Communities	40%
  SCA/SC/ST Scheduled Castes & Tribes	Pass

III. ELIGIBILITY FOR NRI STUDENTS

Candidates must have passed the 12th standard or equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as subjects of study. They should produce an Eligibility Certificate from Anna University of Technology, Chennai.

The NRI who is financially supporting the candidate must be a blood relation, such as father or mother only.

LATERAL ENTRY(B.E./ B.TECH)- DIRECT SECOND YEAR SCHEME

For candidates entering directly into the second year (third semester) of B.E. / B.Tech via lateral admission — two qualification routes:

A. Diploma Candidates

A pass with minimum eligibility marks in a recognised Diploma in Engineering / Technology from the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu, or equivalent — in the discipline prescribed for the respective degree course.

B. B.Sc Candidates

A pass with minimum eligibility marks in any recognised Bachelor\'s Degree in Science (10+2+3 pattern, minimum 3-year duration) with Mathematics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Minimum Eligibility Marks — Diploma / B.Sc

Average of Pre-Final + Final semester marks (or Final-year marks for annual-pattern programmes):

C. Sandwich Diploma

A pass with minimum eligibility marks in one of the Sandwich Diploma courses in Engineering / Technology of the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu, or equivalent prescribed for the respective degree course.

D. Part-Time Diploma

Marks secured in the last three semester examinations (including private-study marks) shall be considered for arriving at the minimum eligibility average.
